"What's this, Ruby?" I inquired.

Ruby was holding a portrait that she had just brought. We were scheduled to depart for the banquet in four days. Teleportation was our planned mode of transport, promising our arrival in a mere moment.

In cases of royal banquets, other royals and prominent noble families traditionally arrive two or three weeks in advance. But Dem preferred arriving precisely on time. Additionally, with my recent ailment, an earlier departure was not feasible. Nevertheless, we made a preliminary visit a week prior, enabling Dem to confirm my health was sufficient to attend the banquet. All of these arrangements were Dem's idea, and he wouldn't entertain any objections from me.

"What are you up to? Isn't it heavy?" I asked her, my curiosity piqued.

"Not at all. My appearance may be deceiving, but my stamina is quite robust," Ruby responded, her words accompanied by a cheerful grin. "However, we must keep our voices low."
