Chapter 39: A Racoon

Yao shook his head. "It's nothing; I am just worried about you."

"I am fine," she assured him as they got into the restaurant, and he helped pull a chair out for her.

They talked about random things for a while before she decided to ask him a favor.

"I don't want to sound too demanding, but I will be going somewhere on Wednesday. Do you mind coming with me?"

He nodded at once. "As I said before, I am back. So just as before, always count on me."

Grace smiled at him as they engaged in breakfast while having small talks. At that moment, she received a call from Mr. Xu.

"Why is he calling now?" She also couldn't ignore his call, so the call got connected.

"I am at the mansion; where are you?" His voice came in; didn't Seb tell him? Grace wondered.

"I stepped out, but I will be back soon." Yao noticed how nervous and scared she was.

"You shouldn't talk while eating," he said, and Raymond, who had just heard his voice, frowned.
