Chapter 37: Ghost Heart Rune, Illogical Distortion

"I–" Fang Ao began, but his features started to distort.

The next second, an extra pair of limbs grew on his body.

"What the hell?" Di Tian immediately took several steps backwards.

But that was not the end of it. In the blink of an eye, 'Fang Ao' morphing into a monstrous-looking apparition.

A grotesque humanoid figure with three pairs of hands and four legs now floated in front of Di Tian. It had one mouth, one nose and one eye which had no pupils at all, elevating its eerie appearance.

"It really is a ghost," Di Tian muttered under his breath.

In truth, he did not find this development very surprising. He had been on his guard about something like this happening from the very beginning.

But what happened next was even stranger. The ghost's form suddenly shimmered and turned into specks of light that flowed into the mark on Di Tian's hand, vanishing into it.

"Hhm?"
