Chapter 15: To the hospital

''You can leave Miss Vetrov in my care, Mr. King,'' the person who blocked Zayden's path was none other than the officer from New York Police Department whom Leona had encountered earlier. 

After Leona fell and Zayden jumped inside, the man met Nico and realized the identity of the person who had jumped after Leona. 

Zayden did not say anything but quietly looked up at the man. A gust of cold wind flew over from the broken walls in their surroundings and his hair flew to the back, revealing a small scar that stretched from Zayden's forehead to his brows, making him look fearsome. 

Before Zayden could say anything, Nico rushed over, ''Officer Evans, it is a good thing that you spared utmost efforts in tracking the mechanisms in order to find my brother and sister-in.... and Miss Vetrov. But it is better you retreat when it's necessary.'' 

The man frowned, ''I will be held responsible if something happens to...'' 

''Men.''
