"Will Make Her Pay!"

"I was actually thinking of freezing the butler next if you hadn't come within the one-minute time limit," the woman said coldly. Her words sent shivers down everyone's spine, especially the butler's. He couldn't believe that despite his pleading and explanations, she had been ready to freeze him as well. He was immensely relieved that the Viscount had arrived in time.

The Viscount sighed, relieved that he had managed to avoid a disaster. His butler, his most trusted servant, was like a right-hand man to him. Though replaceable, the butler had been with him for many years, even before Amelia was born. His experience and loyalty were irreplaceable, and the Viscount didn't know how he would cope without him. Losing the butler would be a significant setback.

Not wanting to waste any more time, he got straight to the point. "Lady Seraphina, I don't know if you've been properly informed, but Amelia's physique and essence have gone berserk again. Unlike last time, it's not stopping. At this rate, Amelia's life might be in danger."

"I know, but—" Lady Seraphina's gaze landed on Leon. She didn't finish her sentence, but her meaning was clear: Leon shouldn't be here. The two servants had already hurried out of the office after being completely defrosted. Now, only the Viscount, his butler, Leon, and Lady Seraphina remained in the room. The sect leader was unaware that Leon knew the secret, so she silently signaled the Viscount with her cold, pristine blue eyes to send Leon out.

Realizing his oversight, the Viscount took a deep breath and said, "Lady Seraphina, this is Leon, Amelia's fiancé. Leon, this is Lady Seraphina, the leader of the Glacial Frost Lotus Sect."

Though Leon had likely already guessed her identity, the Viscount's formal introduction was a gesture of courtesy and respect towards Lady Seraphina.

Seraphina's eyes widened in surprise. "Amelia's fiancé? When did this happen? Why wasn't I informed?"

Given Amelia's unique physique, Seraphina knew this couldn't be an arranged marriage. Amelia's Frost Heart Physique meant she would either never marry or marry someone she deeply loved. The conditions to break her frost heart were strict: either a life-and-death breakthrough that resulted in her essence going berserk, or falling in love so deeply that it broke her frost heart. Knowing the mutual understanding she and Amelia's father shared, Seraphina was certain this marriage wasn't arranged.

The Viscount sighed in response to her unspoken questions. "Due to the urgency of the situation, sending more information was not possible."

Seraphina nodded, understanding the situation. She studied Leon closely. 'He's handsome, too handsome. Now that I think about it, he's the most handsome man I've met. But that's just it; he's handsome, but I don't feel anything.'

As she surveyed him, her expression suddenly changed. She flared her aura, scrutinizing Leon more closely. Try as she might, she couldn't sense Leon's cultivation base. It was as if he were a mere mortal.

"Why is he so weak?!" she demanded in a cold voice, struggling to believe that Amelia would fall in love with a trash mortal. Her tone was so icy that both the Viscount and the butler shuddered slightly, but Leon remained unfazed.

The Viscount, however, didn't dwell too much on Leon's apparent lack of strength. He assumed that with the right resources, Leon could be forcefully elevated to a cultivator's level. It would cost resources, but the Viscount was willing to spend whatever it took for Amelia's fiancé. Of course, Leon would have to prove himself worthy first. The Viscount already had a plan in mind. Nevertheless, he was gritting his teeth, feeling as though Lady Seraphina's blunt assessment was making a fool out of him. It was as if she was pointing out something he should have already known.

One could only wonder how their expressions would be if they discovered that Leon, whom they confirmed to be mortal and mundane, was actually already a cultivator at the first stage of the Qi Condensing realm.

Meanwhile, Leon's hands were clenched at his sides. Her cold words wounded his pride as a man. He didn't know how, but the sect leader seemed immune to his Divine Charm Aura, an aura said to be capable of subduing even gods.

He refrained from questioning the System, sensing instinctively what was happening. The effects of the Divine Charm Aura couldn't be so simple and easy to use. It wasn't just a passive ability but required active concentration and effort to maximize its impact.

Understanding this, Leon knew what he needed to do. His Divine Charm Aura radiated from him, affecting those around him to varying degrees based on their distance. To overpower someone as formidable as Lady Seraphina, he had to concentrate all his aura on her, making its effects exponentially stronger. This would require tapping into his mana reserves to fuel the skill.

Focusing intently, Leon directed all his aura towards Lady Seraphina. He felt his mana being drained rapidly, but he didn't care. He had to make this woman fall for him, to assert his dominance and reclaim his pride. In his mind, he vowed that she would pay for her insulting words.
