Chapter 36: Chapter 36: Too much of a coincidence III

Serena sighed. It was already the intermission and since Christopher was not yet present, most likely, he would no longer be attending. What a waste. She even chose one of the best gowns she designed with Emily. Should she reuse the dress next time? Oh well. 

Anyhow, since Christopher was not there, she no longer has any purpose to stay. She was just about to leave when suddenly a group of three ladies blocked her way. The ladies were younger than her, but she easily recognized the one in the middle. Lady Katherine whose father was a Marquess and was once part of the monarchist faction but became a turncoat. Katherine used to follow her around trying to butter her up for whatever reason. 

"Ah, Lady Serena, fancy meeting you here. How have you been these days?" Lady Katherine began her voice unusually sweet.
