100% Woe, He Goes / Chapter 10: He, who fights II

Chapter 10: He, who fights II

To resume the battle, I sent another barrage of wind projectiles towards his position. He barely managed to deflect and evade them, his eyes now fully widened and focused on the incoming projectiles, not on me.

As I cast a continuous spell of projectiles, I began to lay out the code format I would need in my mind. The complexity of the magic code required extensive and mind-breaking parameters, but I simplified mine to use only two functions I had memorized from the slave mark. These two functions would depend on each other, creating a synergistic effect.

[AddRes] would be the first function I declared, with parameters defining the conditions needed for the foundation of [SpecEffect], which would act as a countermeasure against any form of resistance.

First, however, I needed to create a structural program that would familiarize itself and merge with local variables within these functions. For example, within the structure [Restrain], I would integrate [Irreversibility], merging it with the local variable of [AddRes]. This defined integrity would be crucial in case a sudden anti-magic spell was cast.

Although I included [Irreversibility] within [AddRes], I knew it was better to be cautious and prepare for any eventuality.

Now that the foundation for the structure was laid, I could move towards defining the functions themselves.

Target.Name:Jeremiah|Acros

Target.Name:Ludwig Zu Narra

Define MaxVol = 100

[AddRes]

Target.Name:Ludwig Zu Narra<-Magic Shackles->Target.Name:Jeremiah

Target.Name:Ludwig Zu Narra<-Subdue->Target.Name:Jeremiah

Target.Name:Ludwig Zu Narra<-Obedience->Target.Name:Jeremiah

[SpecEffect] {Target.Name:Jeremiah|Acros = Jeremiah}

Define->Restrain.Irreversibility<-Bind

Define->Compensation =

(

Ignus Ultima,

Mindbreak,

Blood Gore,

Death Mark,

Eternal Tear

)

Query

-> Jeremiah | Bind.Irreversibility = 0

Shall {[AddRes]}

Query

->Jeremiah | [AddRes]<-Compensation = 0.5 A/N: 0.5 = instability in an otherwise equilibrium state.

Shall Glyph Compensation += Max

A/N: -> signify insertion, <- signify extraction.

First, the function [Magic Shackles] would trigger in the targeted individual, bringing forth a restraint on his movements. This would severely limit his agility and speed, skills he fully relied on. This would, in turn, give me a significant advantage. However, the complexity of maintaining this restraint under continuous assault required careful calculation.

Next, the function [Subdue] would completely bring the victim under the will of his contracted master, a mechanism I deduced from analyzing the slave mark. This function was intricate, designed to override the target's free will and enforce absolute control.

Finally, [Obedience] would act as a failsafe, ensuring the slave victim remained under magical dominance despite any remnants of free will. This spell, though seemingly simple, was incredibly effective and overpowering. It reinforced the dominance exerted by [Subdue], making it nearly impossible for the target to break free.

As I cast another barrage of wind projectiles, I could see the man struggling, his movements becoming more erratic as he tried to deflect my relentless attacks. His eyes darted wildly, no longer able to focus solely on me, a sign that my strategy was working.

With the foundation laid and the functions defined, I felt a surge of confidence. The spellwork was intricate and delicate, but I had prepared meticulously. Each projectile I sent was a step closer to executing the full extent of my plan.

The wind howled around us, the air crackling with magical energy. The man, now visibly fatigued, showed signs of desperation. His earlier arrogance had given way to panic, a clear indication that my distraction had taken effect.

Now, I could feel the magic coursing through my veins, the code ready to be unleashed. The moment of truth was approaching. With one final incantation, I activated the functions, targeting the man with pinpoint accuracy.

I cast the newly formed spell I had successfully created, targeting the man in front of me. As the magic took hold, his eyes widened once again, despite the ever-growing fatigue etched into his expression.

"I can't move..." he muttered, but his words were loud enough for me to hear.

I laughed, a triumphant sound that echoed through the now-silent arena.

It worked.

An exaggeratedly oversimplified version of the slavery mark was now within my grasp, taking effect on the person in front of me. He no longer had full control over his own body.

Taking a step forward, slowly and elegantly, I adjusted my dirtied glove, still adorned with shining magic crystals, though they were a bit dimmer than before, signifying the exhausting mana capacity. The arena, which had been filled with shouts and cheers, was now enveloped in a hushed silence.

"What have you done to me?" he asked, his voice trembling with a mix of fear and anger.

A smile crept across my face as I approached him, savoring the sight of my opponent kneeling in pain, struggling against the relentless grip of the spell. He was a prey laid bare before me, completely at my mercy.

"You are under my control now," I said, my voice dripping with satisfaction as I sat in front of him. "Any form of resistance you make shall be compensated with yet another, worse gruesome punishment. Or, what do we call it here in this disgusting world again?"

I sighed, a dramatic pause that hung in the air.

"Ah... slave marks." I circled him slowly, enjoying the helplessness in his eyes. The once proud and arrogant man was now reduced to a mere puppet, his fate sealed by my hand.

"The name you gave me was truthful," I continued, "and now you see the consequence of that truth. You have no choice but to obey."

I could feel the power thrumming through me, the spell I had crafted working perfectly. The man's struggle was futile, each attempt to resist only tightening the magical binds that held him.

The crowd watched in stunned silence, the weight of my victory sinking in. I had not only defeated my opponent but had demonstrated the overwhelming superiority of my magic. This battle was over, and the arena now bore witness to my undeniable prowess.

Yet, their faces etched an undeniably horrified expression, as if they found my spell strange and unsettling. The strangeness in their eyes was hypocritical, considering they adhered to a society where inequality was rampant and accepted.

"Is it so strange to witness an act of contractual slavery in front of you all?" I called out, my voice echoing through the silent arena. "Have you not seen how your meager selves act when gifted slaves, how they are treated?" I smiled once more, not at the restrained man, but at the people of the arena. "Hypocrites." My smile faded, replaced by an expression of anguish.

In my hands, a projectile formed, the same type I had used before. With a calculated precision, I shot the man multiple times, each projectile aimed to break through his magic barrier. The layers of his defense crumbled one by one, each crack and shatter echoing the dismantling of his pride.

'For you, Lady Gemini. I wish I had paid you dearly. Now, it shall be your turn to repay me. Hehe.'

As the final layer shattered, signaling my victory, however, the crowd remain stunned in silence.
