[ CP0 POV ]
Falke Island
Our ship docked on the shores of the south of Falke Island. The storm continued howling as we could hear sounds of clashing in the distant north as the Storm Dragon continued to clash with Admiral Zephyr.
Our mission was to collect the bodies of the World Nobles and bring them back. The World Government already knew that it was too late to save them as they had tresspassed into Whitebeard's territory without the Five Elder's permission.
It was meant to be a lesson to the World Nobles: Don't do things without the Five Elder's permission. We quickly made sure that the ship's anchor was firm and we raced towards the village. The rain continued to soak our masks and suits, the village wasn't far away as the island was quite small.
In fact, one could make a argument that the World Government had overdone it by sending so many ships for a Buster Call. We soon arrived in the village and began our search for their bodies.
We made it a rule not to disturb the villagers as we all knew that they would all be too scared to so much as touch the bodies of Celestial Dragons. However, that assumption was slowly eroding as we searched the village.
We couldn't find their bodies no matter where we looked. The three of us soon met back at the center of the village. We all looked at each other before looking at the houses surrounding us. We all nodded as we all began racing towards the closest homes and dragging the residents of the village out.
The villagers screamed as we continued to drag more and more people out of the village. Soon, we had managed to get every villager to the center of the village; including the village chief. We all waited for the villagers to calm down before we asked them.
"What did you do with the World Nobles Bodies?" One agent asked.
"Please, spare us! We haven't touched their bodies! The man who saved us, Storm Dragon, had devoured all their bodies right infront of us!" The village chief begged as he explained.
"Ate all the bodies? What do you mean? Did he absorb them?" Another agent asked.
"No!" This time, it was a kid who responded, "He grew two dragon heads, and they extended their necks and ate all their bodies! We saw it with our own eyes!!"
All of us were perplexed. Why would he eat their bodies? What the villagers were saying sounded more like a cover up than it was the truth.
It seemed that the sentiment spread all around us as another fellow agent got angry and pointed his finger at the child before killing her. The child's mother screamed as she grabbed her daughter's corpse while sobbing.
"Tell us the truth! Or we will kill you all!" The agent asked menacingly.
A tense silence soon followed as the villagers remained quiet. Their faces were full of despair as if it was already over for them. Could it be that they were telling the truth?
We were about to ask again when a bone-chilling voice sounded right behind us.
"What are you idiots doing?" The voice asked.
We all instantly froze, my instincts were telling me that if I move a muscle: I would be killed without hesitation. The others followed suit and froze as well, except for one that is. It was the same agent who had killed the child.
"Who the hel-" The agent was about to turn and ask when he stopped suddenly. We couldn't see him because we had been standing side to side as we interrogated the villagers. However, I didn't need to see anything to know he was dead as I saw his head roll slowly infront of us.
We all remained frozen in our places. We had been trained not to show our emotions, especially in extreme situations like this. The voice asked once more.
"What are you idiots doing?" The voice asked again.
We were about to respond when the village chief responded.
"Please, they had dragged us out of our homes asking for the bodies of the World Nobles." The village chief responded.
The bone-chilling voice immediately asked another question.
"Did you tell them what I did?" The voice asked, the village chief could only nod his head as he stared at the source of the voice behind us. The source of the voice made a sigh so strong that I could feel its cold breath tickle the back of my neck.
"Well I guess I'll have to show them what happened then." The cold voice eventually responded. Feeling a sense of foreboding, I tried to jump back to face our unknown attacker. Unfortunately, that would prove to be a mistake as I immediately felt my head start spinning.
Through the blurs of my surroundings, I could see a headless body standing there, and behind it a dragon head with its mouth wide open as if it was going to eat the headless corpse. Then I blacked out.
[ Zephyr POV ]
Marine Ship
Our lone ship was slowly sailing away from Falke island. It had been our loss, a massive one at that. We had met the Storm Dragon way before we could perform the Buster Call on the island. It almost felt like he had sensed us days away from the island.
I smashed the railing on the deck of the ship in frustration. I had barely managed to get out of that fight alive, although I wasn't injured severly, his attacks had enough power to kill a Vice-Admiral with ease. Hell, he had more than enough power to go toe to toe with me!
"We shouldn't have obeyed that goddamn order for a buster call! The losses this time are massive." I grumbled under my breath as I stared at the injured marines we had salvaged from the reckage.
Immediately after the Storm Dragon had thrown me at a marine ship and sent that slash of haki at me. I could only coat my hands with haki in hopes of blocking the attack. However, things were different compared to the other times that he usually did this.
When the slash clashed with my arms, instead of the energy dispersing like usual and pushing me further down like it normally did. The power somehow managed to seep through my guard and explode right on my torso. Adding on to the normal force that the slash was coming with, I was sent crashing through the ship and into the sea.
Luckily, where I crashed through wasn't a vital part of the ship as it had remained sea-worthy, but the effect of the slash had left my internal organs in a mess. I gasped for air when I had resurfaced in the water. I could barely use moon walk to get back on board of the ship I had crashed through.
I looked on at the ships in the farther distance that were supposed to be bombing the island. They were all sunk, I could only sea the debree of the marine's ships floating chaotically on the stormy sea.
I immediately ordered the ship to go in and find any injured marines, if we could save as many marines as we could. We could bring more men back to their families, it was the least I could do as their leader for this mission.
My heart was heavy thinking about the loss, I asked for a bottle of wine as I sat on a barrel next to the ship's transponder snail. My heart was heavy as I reported our loss to Fleet-Admiral Kong.
Just one more chapter to 50!!!
I just want to remind y'all that I won't be posting on weekends.
Also, I really do appreciate all the information y'all are giving me about the anime.
There are some gray areas that I don't remember and I tend to overlook it since I'm not that careful.
I won't edit the chapters, but I will keep these reminders in mind.
Let me know what y'all think!!!
Love y'all!!!!
