Chapter 92: Virtya's plans (2

Actually, Virtya was still harvesting barley up to now and he had only managed to sell barley to a very small part of the kingdom of Litkesh while the agents who were sent to Ugley kingdom and other kingdoms in the Southern continent had still not reached to those markets.

It could be noted that even in Azuhai kingdom itself, Virtya had not supplied barley in the whole of it and most of his produce was consumed by the people from Whiddiff city which has made the price of the crop to drop by 50% because the supply of this crop had surpassed the demand by an enormous margin.

Currently, the people of Whiddiff city preferred to consume other produces like the rice from Litkesh since they had became tired of consuming barley but Virtya was not disappointed.

He would keep the surplus in the granary as winter was coming and that was when his produce would find a bigger market.

Even if most of the farmers harvested more this year because of the farming process that they implemented after learning from Vlad, most of them were opting to sell their produce to the merchants from the foreign markets since the demand for their produce had gone down in their local markets.

One should know that it was only Virtya who chose to plant barley as other farmers opted for other crops that were more marketable like rice and corn because their lands supported the growing of those crops.

Anyway, what Virtya had noted from all these was that he muchly needed to introduce the automotives because if he didn't do that early, then things would continue to move at a slow pace which was consuming time and money.

"I have to bring the steam locomotives or else, I will die even before I have made anything special." Virtya's unrelenting resolve burned in his heart and even if he was now at the cement plant, his mind was now thinking of how he was going to create the first carriage that would move without the aid of the horses and since Virtya didn't knew where he could find the crude oil in this world, then his only option was to erase the design of the combustion engine from his mind and opt for the steam engine.

Was there even crude oil in this world? This was a question that Virtya would answer in the future.

'The use of horses for transportation will be a thing of the past. I will bring the steam locomotives!' Virtya murmured in his mind and a smile could be seen plastered on his face. However, Virtya's smile disappeared when he remembered something.

This was not the first time that Virtya had thought about coming up with the steam locomotives, this idea had been in Virtya's mind since he stepped into this world and he had even thought of creating the locomotives first before creating anything else but he then realized something that crushed his ambition to build the steam locomotives and that was money to come up with a successful automotive industry.

First, unlike the cement plant, the automotive industry needed steel and a lot of it, thus, Virtya needed to find a market that would agree to sell iron ores to his kingdom and his first choice was to go for the kingdom of Ugley.

The kingdom of Litkesh was near to Whidiff city but Virtya's relationship with the royaty of Litkesh was not that good, not to mention that the king of Litkesh was widely known as a swindler, invader, terrorist, betrayer and a jealous dude with villain-like character. Virtya didn't like such people.

Virtya knew that when chosing Ugley to work with, they would need something big in exchange and that was why Virtya was going to give them the cement production formula so that they could allow him to access their iron mines.

Virtya wanted to control the iron market of Ugley, no, he wanted all the iron ores from Ugley to be taken to Whiddiff, the Ugley bastards might betray him in future but Virtya had something that they don't have which was technology.

When the royalties from Ugley see him releasing new stuff after new stuff, they would not choose to betray him but instead, they would choose to side with him.
