"Mr Vlad Levitsky(the high priest), from now on, you will be the minister of agriculture and Mr Grisha Federoff will spearhead the education ministry." Virtya released his final verdict making everyone to gulp down painfully, the king was truly serious about this trivial matter.
Vlad Levitsky was a chubby old man and he wore a righteous disposition that made everyone around him to give him respect. He stood up after hearing Virtya's decision as he had been given the duty to steer the agriculture ministry and he didn't reject this role as he knew how important it was after he heard king Virtya mentioning the hopeless inhabitants of Polkok district.
Clap! Clap! Clap!
All the attendees for the meeting clapped their hands in show that they had accepted Vlad Levitsky to take the role of steering the agriculture ministry, it was only the duke of Lithao who didn't clap his hand as a scowl could be seen plaster on his face, however, he didn't utter a single word.
Vlad Levitsky nodded his head and sat down.
Virtya had chosen the high priest for the agriculture position because Vlad Levitsky was much concerned of others welfare as compared to the other despicable people in the meeting like the chubby duke of Whilona. As for the education system, it needed a serious individual, a no nonsense person like Grisha Federoff so that the people would be serious with learning this new knowledge without lamenting or showing reluctance.
Clearly, it could be seen that Virtya took the education ministry seriously because this was where he was expecting to get the geniuses that would help him with the upcoming complicated projects.
"Hurray! Hurray! Hahaha! Congratulations!"
A section of the minor officials who had attended the meeting screamed while patting Grisha Federoff's shoulders. The dukes and other ministers didn't join them as they only glanced at them with empty looks while on the other hand, Alek's mouth opened and closed consecutively as if he wanted to say some insolent words to the new minister of education but he couldn't utter a word because of the noice of jubilation by the minor officials. He curled his lips and reclined on his chair.
At this moment, Grisha Federoff stood up and bowed to the king before he waved his hands at all the attendees. A smile could be seen on his face while the people who were seated close to him were utterly shocked and happy. They couldn't believe that one of them had been promoted to this high position. Jealous and looks of reverence and awe were plastered on their faces as they wished that they were Grisha Federoff.
After all, Grisha Federoff was a minor official in Whiddiff city and he was known by the city denizens as a no nonsense tutor. In Whiddiff city and Azuhai kingdom as a whole, Grisha Federoff even if he was an old man, he had managed to tutor many successful people including king Virtya himself. He had the experience and what he needed right now was for Virtya to tell him what to do.
"The swearing ceremony of the new two ministers will be this evening, I hope everyone here will attend so that we could give them our full support." Virtya finally said with a smile. There had been no ruckus so far after he had selected the two individuals for the two ministries. This was a win for Virtya.
"Errr, Your majesty, you have yet to tell us about who will become the leader of manufacturing and industrialization ministry?" Alexandre asked with his face full of expectations, he was even thinking now about the upcoming promotion if he could snatch this manufacturing department. After all, he was the minister of trade and industrialization thus, everyone in the meeting thought that this role would absolutely go to Alexandre who was also a close ally of the king.
"I will have the manufacturing and industrialization ministry to myself because it is too complicated... On the other hand, Mr Alexandre will be the new minister of trade." Virtya uttered expressionlessly.
Gasps of shock and surprise could be seen plastered on the people's faces and even Alek was taken aback.
No one uttered a word as silence prevailed and at this moment, Alexandre stood up and bowed before the king.
"I know his highness has his own reasons for giving out these roles and I know it is for the betterment of our kingdom. I hope all will offer full support to king Virtya." He paused for a moment and scanned everyone faces before his gaze glued upon the scowling duke of Lithao.
"Mr Alek, you are my friend. I know you might have your own reasons as to why you are always opposed to the king but could you believe him for once..." Alexandre turned and stared at Virtya before he said, "Your highness! Commander Tanya, Mr Alek, the dukes in attendance and all the other officials... All of us have agreed on what his majesty has said and we will support him without opposition. The ministers are there and the dukes will respect them and support them. We are all winners, right? Let's not be anxious or incensed over an important matter like this one. We should be celebrating and laughing right?"
Alexandre took a copper cup from the table and raised it to the air before he said,
"For the betterment of the kingdom and good health of the king!"
All the attendees including Virtya took their cups and raised them to the air in show of support before they gulped down the wine in them.
"Congratulations to the new ministers who will be joining us, but don't think you will get any favour from the king!" All the attendees laughed weakly at Alexandre's joke as he sat down.
The remaining people who were not selected for the ministry roles were disappointed but also happy for the ones who had been chosen for those roles.
"Eugene, what is the average money collected by Whiddiff palace for each month?" Virtya moved to the most important part. His predecessor didn't knew this information or he might just be ignorant about it, but Virtya needed to know so that he could release a budget for the month and see if he could finance his upcoming projects.
Eugene stood up and bowed to the king before he said,
"My king, our monthly collection is about 500,000 gold coins. So far, the treasury has remained with only a meager 100, 000 gold coins after more money was allocate to the northern province knighthood academy."
"This will be hard for us." The amount of money that Virtya needed for his projects was hulking. He needed to look for a way that would enable him to receive a steady inflow of money so that his projects would be unfolded and speeded, without money he wouldn't be able to do a thing.
'Where can I get the money from? Should I beg King Brisbois for a loan? No, that will not work, king Brisbois could not be trusted. It seemed that I will have to fabricate some simple stuffs and sell them to the merchants from the other kingdoms so that I can get more money.' Virtya came up with a plan in his mind, he couldn't think of anything else that would give him money other than fabricating new stuffs that were not yet invented in this world and sell them for money.
The people of this world loved new things which could help their society and Virtya had the technology book to help him with the manufacturing procedures.
Money would come from the manufactured stuff that he would be selling to the merchants and the people of his kingdom, he didn't thought that there was anyone out there who would not be interested in the commodities from the modern world.
