Chapter 20: Chapter 20: Lost in the Silence
As the first light of dawn filtered through the curtains, Amber stirred from her slumber, her head heavy with the remnants of the alcohol-induced haze. Blinking away the fog of sleep, she took in her surroundings with bleary eyes, confusion clouding her thoughts as she realized where she was.
With a sinking feeling in the pit of her stomach, Amber realized that she was in Jimin's room at the BTS dorm. Guilt washed over her as she remembered the events of the previous night—the tears, the laughter, the overwhelming sense of despair that had driven her to seek solace in the bottom of a glass.
Without a word, she slipped out of bed and made her way to the door, her heart heavy with the weight of all that had transpired between them. She couldn't bear to face Jimin—not after everything that had happened, not after the pain and confusion that had driven them apart.
As she stepped out into the cool morning air, a sense of emptiness settled over her, the weight of her loneliness pressing down on her soul. With each step she took, she felt herself drifting further and further away from the one person who had come to mean everything to her.
Meanwhile, Jimin awoke to find Amber's side of the bed empty, his heart sinking with a sense of foreboding. Panic clawed at his chest as he realized that she was gone, her absence a gaping void that threatened to consume him whole.
Frantically, he searched the dorm for any sign of her, his calls and texts going unanswered as he faced the harsh reality of her disappearance. With each passing moment, his fear grew, until at last, he knew that he had to find her, no matter the cost.
But as he ventured out into the streets, searching for any trace of the woman he loved, he couldn't shake the feeling of helplessness that gnawed at his soul. For in the silence of her absence, he realized that he had lost more than just a lover—he had lost a piece of himself, a part of his heart that he feared he would never get back.
