Chapter 269: 269. Princess Sara
The regent of this kingdom was so absorbed and arrogant that he asked Ash and his party to leave their Togepi to him.
"Who do you think you are!? I won't listen to your orders!" Misty hugged her Togepi and rightfully refused on the spot.
"Then there's nothing we can do." Colonel Hansen thought he was being soft so now he needed to be tougher on these children's. He snapped his fingers, and a weird-looking insect Pokémon appeared from behind him.
The bug appeared floating vertically and steadily like an empty husk, with a white moon ring suspended above its head.
"It's a Shedinja!" Max was quickly able to recognize this Pokémon after it so suddenly appeared.
This is the other form of Nincada's evolution. It was actually a split evolution directly from Ninjask, this was a dual Bug and Ghost-type. This Pokémon was known to be an me fo the more special kind of Pokémon.
It has magical protection ability. Although its health is thinner than a piece of paper, really, only being weak to five types of attacks; that being the Flying, Rock, Ghost, Fire and Dark-types. These are the only types that can damage this Pokémon.
Of course there are weather conditions that can knock it our like Burns, Poison, and Sandstorm.
They all saw the ring above its head standing up, absorbing the energy of the sun. This is clearly the very powerful Grass-type Special Attack, Solar Beam.
Ash immediately threw out two of his Poké Balls, "Dratini, Blizzard; Torchic, Flame Charge!"
Dratini hasn't had time to learn the Flamethrower attack yet, and none of the attacks he can use now have the types that can defeat Shedinja.
But his Dragon-typing can heavily resist the power of the Solar Beam, not to mention that he can also fire off one of his own attacks to reduce and completely neutralize the power of the Solar Beam.
Dratini's figure suddenly disappeared in a flash, he was rushing in front of Shedinja first, using his Blizzard attack to push down the Solar Beam.
His Torchic's body on the other hand turned into a red fireball, with his speed suddenly increasing by a large margin, he went around to the side and was ready to hit Shedinja hard from there.

There were now two Pokémon's very similar to Shedinja appearing next to it to protect it. One of them had deep scorch marks on his body, obviously showing how injured it was.
"That's a Ninjask!" Max shouted again to show off his knowledge.
Next to him, Misty was already stiff. She still hadn't managed to completely let go of her fear for insect Pokémon even after hanging out with Ash's ones.
Nincada is a very interesting Pokémon, as it is one of the very few rare Pokémon that can evolve into two separate forms. But unlike even Eevee, Nincada's are more special.
After Nincada evolves into a Ninjask, its cicada slough will also then transform into the Bug and Ghost-type Shedinja with extremely low health.
Looking at the three cicadas in front of him, Ash gave a soft smile that expressed how he wasn't that stressed to begin with.
"Pika~"!" Pikachu on the shoulder was eager to battle. After all, those two Pokémon's were just some weak Flying-type Pokémon's to him.
But Ash smiled and helped him back, "Pikachu, you should let the others handle this. I don't feel like bullying him too much."
This kind of small commotion does not require his Ace to take action. His Dratini and Torchic are already more than enough for the three cicadas on the opposite side. This is also a benefit for them in coordinating their attacks and leveling up.
"Boy, who are you?" Seeing the lineup that Ash brought out, Colonel Hansen finally looked at Ash with some caution.
"I am Ash Ketchum from Pallet Town, the man who will become the Pokémon Master!" Ash grinned, introduced himself, and launched another attack.
"Dratini, Dragon Tail! Torchic, Flame Charge!"
Dratini's figure suddenly disappeared, and the two Ninjask came up with white light behind them. Their speed was indeed even faster than Dratini, but they could barely keep up with Dratini's speed after he was boosting it with Extreme Speed.
"It's so fast, I can't even see them with my eyes!" The two siblings stood behind Brock and Misty to watch the exciting battle. Such a fierce battle was really eye-opening to them even after seeing something like this before.
And being able to command such a battle so freely and effortlessly goes to show just how strong his command has gotten.
Colonel Hansen on the other hand hadn't even given out any orders from the beginning of the battle to now. He just depended on the performance of his three little three cicadas, but their levels are relatively higher than average, so they must have been trained by him over the many years he was here.
Shedinja transforms into a turret, constantly firing Solar Beams at a surprising high rate, then speeding up to dodge the attacks Dratini and Torchic were launching at it.
Torchic's Flame Charge was dodged twice by the Ninjasks, but his speed became faster and faster, and finally managed to successfully hit Shedinja.
Shedinja, whose life was as thinner than an actual paper, immediately lost its ability to fight right there in the spot.
The balance of victory suddenly tilted towards Ash's side. Seeing Shedinja who was covered in black dust, Colonel Hansen's expression suddenly changed.

"What else can we do? I'm not afraid of making things worse for them!" Ash smiled smoothly. He was a high ranked Pokémon Investigator, so what if he offends the entire Mirage Kingdom, what can they even do?
A flash of blue light fell all over Ash's body, and his figure disappeared. The soldiers around him immediately flew out and fell to the ground, groaning with pain.
The Pokémon League does not allow Trainer's Pokémon to directly attack humans. This will disqualify a Trainers license for being a Trainer, but it does allow the Trainer to go up and beat others himself in situations of self defense. This was the thing Ash liked the most about being a Pokémon G-Men, he could beat up people senseless and knowing they can't do anything to him.
Clapping his hands, Ash smiled and said, "Let's go to the palace and have some fun!"
The royal palace of the Mirage Kingdom was just below the hillside where the aircraft docked on. It was actually majestic and looked to be very luxurious. The first thing they saw after walking down the hillside was a large garden, which was arranged like a maze.
But this was nothing to Ash's Aura Sense. Soon he led everyone to the fountain at the center of the garden, where there was a beautiful and elegant young lady.
"Who are you?" When Ash and his group suddenly break in here, the young lady did not panic, but her eyes stayed on the Togepi in Mistys arm for a long time before moving away.
"I am Misty from Cerulean City. I was invited here by your kingdom. These are my companion!" Misty introduced everyone.
The young lady gave a royal courtesy, "Hello, my name is Sara, and I am the princess of Mirage Kingdom!"
Her movements were really elegant and beautiful, her movements were full of aristocratic style, but she had a humble and polite aura, which can make people feel closer to her.
She was a real princess!
Brock was stunned!
"Princess Sara, we were invited to this Mirage Kingdom because of my Togepi. What is the connection between your country and Togepi?"
Everyone here was young, so they were just chatting in a relaxing way.
Princess Sara didn't put up any airs, and it seemed it was a rare occurrence to have so many people here to talk to her, so she poured tea and prepared snacks for everyone. Misty's Togepi jumped into her arms and let her hold her.
Seeing this, the maid behind her quickly left and went to report to the king, "Your Majesty, something big has happened! A Togepi has come to Princess Sara!"
"Togepi?"
The Kind and Queen were overjoyed and rushed over immediately to see Togepi being held in the arms of Princess Sara. "That's great, Sara, we can now complete the inheritance ceremony without incident tomorrow!"
"But father and mother, this Togepi is not mine!"
