"Come back, Scizor!"
Facing Ash's astonishing powerful Houndoom, Gary decisively took his Scizor back to rest.
He was being very rational and dealt with the situation according to his common sense. It was absolutely impossible for his Scizor to fight against such a powerful Fire-type Pokémon like Ash's Houndoom that restrains him so heavily.
"Brother Gary took his Scizor back!" Molly watched the battle in front of her in the viewing area, unable to take her eyes away from it for even a single split second.
"According to my brain, the Pokémons that can restrain the Fire and Dark- type Houndoom are the Fighting-types, the Ground-types, the Rock-types and the Water-types!" Brock's analysis was very accurate, "Now that Gary is at a disadvantage once again, he must try to turn the tide of the battle in his favor, or else his situation will only continue to get worse!"
"So, he will definitely send out one of those Pokémon types!" Misty also thought of this!
Sure enough, Gary took out the Poké Ball and kissed it gently, "Ash, you are really are worthy of being my rival. I want to show you my number one Pokémon!"
"Go, my beloved Blastoise!"
That's right, Gary's strongest Trump Card, a Pokémon with a very high Bond Value with him, is the Starter Pokémon he got from Professor Oak, and now it has completed its final evolution to a powerful looking Blastoise!
"Trainer Gary's fourth Pokémon is out - and its a Blastoise!"
His Blastoise is not that much shorter than Ash's own Blastoise in terms of pure size, and its momentum is also calm and strong. It is indeed the strongest Trump Card that Gary had trained!
"Then let's go, Houndoom, Flamethrower!" Ash took the lead in launching the attack to see what he will do next. Houndoom, the absolute leader, stamped on the ground, and everyone saw the faint appearance of black flames on the ground!
Black fire pillars are heading towards Blastoise in a straight single file line!
"What is this? In my 15 year career, I have never seen such dark flames like these!" The commentator was very much confused and would like an explanation.
"Blastoise, use Hydro Pump!" The Hydro Pump spurting out from the two metal cannons on his back collided with Houndoom's Flamethrower, and the water vapor filled the air for a while, blocking everyone's vision!
However, even so just then, both Gary and Ash actually issued their attack orders at the same time!
"Blastoise, use Water Pulse!"
"Houndoom, Dark Pulse!"
Blasts were stirred up in this rock venue, and the evil energy fluctuations were also like blasts on their own, lapping towards Blastoise like there wasn't anything to stop it!
After the two collided in the center of the field, a violent explosion occurred!
The blast of wind immediately dispersed all the large amounts of water vapors, and also blasted Blastoise and Houndoom back quiet a bit of distance!
They were now back at their original position, as if they didn't move at all.
Professor Oak's eyes lit up while watching the match, and he couldn't help but praise, "Yesss, wonderful, they are all good talents that will lead the future generation and the generations to come!"
Professor Oak was also a very strong Trainer when he was young. He could see the techniques at a glance and was able to launch attacks without hesitation in such a limited field of vision. This is because he has complete trust in all of his Pokémon!
This is the power that a great bond can give to the Trainer and their Pokémon's. It is absolutely impossible to achieve this without a strong bond between both the Trainer and Pokémon at the same time!
It goes without saying that Gary and Blastoise have a very high Bond Value, but how can this compare to Ash and his Houndoom taht are connected by more than any bond can ever explain?
"Houndoom, it doesn't matter!" Ash could feel Houndoom's condition. After all, a strong Water-type attack can do a lot of damage to him, and his Houndooms defense couldn't compare with the very bulky Blastoise!
"Blastoise, come on, Hydro Cannon!" Gary was so ready that he actually used the ultimate move that can only be used by the Water-type Royal Starters as of so far!
"Foul Play!"
Of course, an ultimate move like this cannot be activated that quickly, and the Dark-type has various skills that can be activated quickly and do something about this!
Houndoom got the order and rushed towards Blastoise, but something strange happened. In front of Gary and Blastoise, Houndoom's figure split into two!
This is not the move Double Team that he can learn, Gary can't tell which Houndoom is the real one and which is the fake one!
However, Gary frowned and unlucky pointed his finger at the fake Houndoom and gave the order, "Let's hope Lady Luck is on our side! Blastoise, attack that Houndoom!"
Boom!
Unexpectedly, Blastoise still managed to hit the range where the Houndoom was. The power of the Water-type ultimate move instantly made Houndoom lose most of its health and he fell to the ground!
"What?"
Brock, Misty and Molly all exclaimed, how did Blastoise hit Houndoom? Isn't that one a fake Houndoom?
"Ash, looks like I win this round!" Gary happily exclaimed.
He was doing reverse thinking, because he was very aware of Houndoom's Foul Play attack, which made it turn into two different figures, and it was obvious which one was the real one, and then lured him to attack.
If he really attacks the real one and gets hit by the Foul Play skill, then Blastoise will be in danger if he misses it with one move.
It's like betting on big or small, choosing one of the two, and Gary won his bet with Lady Luck!
In this battle, he managed to do a significant amount of damage to Ash's Houndoom to the point where it was breathing very tiredly but still ready for battle.
Gary had used both his knowledge and courage in this battle!
Ash took back his injured but not out of battle Houndoom, which was also his first Pokémon in the whole tournament that was damaged to this point, "Gary, you are really are strong! And here I wanted to keep my record…. sigh."
Now, Gary has lost one of his Pokémon while the other two are injured, especially his Nidoqueen who was in much worse condition than Ash's own Houndoom, so the balance of victory is still leaning on Ash's side, after all, he doesn't have any of his Pokémon's out yet. His Houndoom could most likely return back to a battle ready state soon enough, and that was his most damaged Pokémon!
"How should I deal with you next? Alright then! Get ready for a total frenzy, Venusaur!"
The Poké Ball thrown out by Ash was once again caused a sensation in the audience!
Venusaur versus Blastoise, this is another battle between the three Royal Starter Families l! And this time, it's a battle between the Grass-type Starter against the Water-type Starter in Kanto!
"Trainer Ash's third Pokémon turns out to be a giant Venusaur. How will the fateful battle between Kanto's Royal Starters play out?!"
Seeing this Venusaur, Gary was also surprised, "Ash, did you prepare this specially for my Blastoise?"
"Of course, Gary, in order to fight you with all my strength, I put a lot of effort into forming this team! My Venusaur has been waiting to fight against you and your Blastoise for a long time!" Ash said with a very confident smile.
However, in fact, when he prepared for Gary's Blastoise, it was not just Venusaur alone!
He was very much aware of Gary's fighting style. Although he has restrained himself after the Johto Region, he caught l more than 200 Pokémon when he was in the Kanto Region alone!
He also often changes training his Pokémon's, and most of his Pokémon have a good strength to fall back on, so unlike Macy and Jackson, which have obvious weaknesses, Ash can easily target them.
But because of this, except for Blastoise, the strength of his other Pokémon is not a problem for Ash, so Ash specifically targeted this Blastoise when forming a team for this battle!
"Do you think you can defeat my Blastoise based on just a plan?" Gary's fighting spirit was burning hot. He will have to rely on his Blastoise to turn the tide of the battle in one go. "Blastoise, use Hydro Pump!"
This time Hydro Pump is more powerful than before, obviously inspired by Gary's previous Hydro Cannon.
"Frenzy Plant!"
A fierce light flashed in Ash's eyes, and Venusaur directly used the Grass-type Starters ultimate move!
The whole of large the rock venue began to experience powerful shaking! The underground mechanical device was screaming loudly for the control center!
Hearing this voice, President Charles Goodshow stood up excitedly, cried and sighed, "It's over, it's over, the venue equipment will take a lot of effort to repair! I want to retire so badly!"
He ordered that the battle between Ash and Gary be suspended during the intermission and could not continue until the battle field was repaired.
There is no way, the current hardware equipment of Silver Conference is not perfect enough, and it is also because Ash's current power exceeds the limit of what this venue can hold!
Boom boom boom!
A huge tree vine popped out of the middle of the rock venue out of thin air and whipped towards Blastoise!
There was no direct way to avoid the incoming attack!
"Blastoise, hold on, Hydro Cannon again!"
The Hydro Cannon attack is further strengthened by the metal cannon is shining with light on Blastoise's back. This is the battle between the Royal Starter's ultimate moves!
Ash's giant Venusaur roared to the high sky's, and controlled the very thick tree vines to pulse toward Blastoise. The Hydro Cannon as an attack is more penetrating than most other attacks, so the tree vines were smashed by the Hydro Cannon into bits, and hit Venusaur hard in its body!
"It's amazing. The battle between Blastoise and Venusaur is really one of the most exciting battles I have seen in my 16 year career. Such ultimate moves are rarely ever used. Is this really not even the semi-final round of the Silver Conference?"
All the audiences were cheering and excited beyond any words!
The battle between Ash and Gary made all Trainers clearly realize how weak they really were compared to these new Trainers!
"BOOM!"
Finally, the explosion sounded throughout the whole stadium!
The blast blew both sides away, and the rock venue was now completely flattened. The scene was really a sight to see!
"Blastoise, how are you doing?"
When the smoke cleared, Blastoise and Venusaur fell to the field together. Blastoise maintained its defensive position inside of its shell.
Gary immediately exclaimed towards his Ace Pokémon. He was dragged by Ash to the point of using his ultimate move to fight against another one. Both sides were heavily injured in the fight!
Blastoise is his strongest Trump Card, and obviously Ash has stronger Pokémon than his Venusaur!
"Both Blastoise and Venusaur have lost the ability to fight! This is a draw! Both sides send out their next—!"
The referee had just announced that the two Pokémon were tied, but was interrupted by Ash before he could formally tell them to take their Pokémon back!
The entire stadium fell silent, and everyone held their breath, waiting to see if these two Pokémon are able stand up.
"Roar!"
A low roar came, and Venusaur stood up first. After all, Venusaur being a Grass-type Pokémon had the advantage in type compared to the Water-type Blastoise.
"Blastoise, stand up!"
Hearing Gary's call, Blastoise stretched out its arms and legs from the turtle shell. It really got up, and it seemed that it was a little less injured than Venusaur because of it being inside if its sturdy shell!
"Standing up, Blastoise used the move Withdrew to improve his defense and resist the damage of the blast! This battle is really the most exciting battle I have seen in my 17 year career!" The commentator exclaimed as if he was the one that was battling in front of everyone!
However, Venusaur and Ash looked at each other and then Ash forfeited his Venusaur after seeing that it is no longer able to fight, he was just standing on his instinct.
"Trainer Ash forfeits his Venasaur in this battle, meaning Blastoise wins!" The referee quickly made a decision on victory, but looked at Ash with admiration.
He as a referee in such a large tournament obviously had tons of experience. He knew that Ash did the right thing here.
Ash took Venusaur back. The bond between him and Venusaur reached its peak, so he was fully able to control its situation.
In this battle, its mission has been more than completed. It was seriously injured, so it is best for him to get back and have a good rest.
"Venusaur fell, Blastoise won, and now Trainer Ash has lost one Pokémon while one of his Pokémon is also injured, his other Pokémon seems to be completely fine. While Trainer Gary has only lost one, and now has two heavily injured Pokémon with one being just lightly injured!"
Seeing this, all the audience members who saw the situation on both sides know that Gary is in a very bad situation now, while Ash was on the lead.
Blastoise and Nidoqueen have been seriously injured and their combat power is reduced to only a small fraction of their true power, while Ash still has three perfectly healthy Pokémon that have not yet appeared!
Ash threw out his next Poké Ball, "Stand by for battle, Heracross!"
This is the first Pokémon that Ash had captured in the Johto Region, so it holds a special place in his heart! This is also ten first Pokémon that he, Luke, caught after coming to this mysterious world.
Looking at the panting Blastoise, Gary decided to take him back immediately. This was his true Trump Card, and now he was trying to let it rest and regain some of it's strength like Ash is doing to his Houndoom, "It's your time to shine, go my Magmar!"
Gary is fighting according to type matchups, but his stronger Fire-type Arcanine had already lost its combat ability, so Gary had to send out his second strongest Fire-type Pokémon, that being his Magamar!
These two Fire-type Pokémon he added for this battle were obviously meant to support Blastoise in order to deal with Ash's Grass Type Pokémon!
However, Gary's layout was disrupted by Ash Snorlax at the beginning of the battle before he could even begin to implement his strategy.
"Blastoise was taken back by Gary, and now he has sent out his Magmar to challenge Ash's Heracross! From what I could see, Ash's Heracross has a higher chance of winning even though it is weaker in types!"
"Flamethrower!" As soon as Gary's Magmar appeared in stage, Gary launched an attack!
Like Magcargo, the Magmar species has a super high body temperature. This fire pillar looked to be very hot because even some of the audience members could feel it!
"Aerial Ace!"
Ash ordered his Heracross to use a very versatile Flying-type attack, Heracross was able to avoid the pillar of fire, and was also able to get closer to the Magmar before he could react to it!
"Heracross's Aerial Ace attack worked!"
Not only did it hit Magmar, Heracross also used his usual fighting method to push and punch Magmar away before he could fight back!
"Damn! Magmar, use Fire Blast!" Gary actually launched such an attack at this moment, and his Magmar also got ready to use Fire Blast in Heracross!
Not only that, it also stretched out its arms, jumped up into the middle of the Fire Blast, and rushed towards Heracross!
At this moment, his whole body was burning with flames, and it smashed hard, and the fire immediately burned Heracross's body!
"The big Fire Blasts and Magmar did hit Heracross, the effect was too much!" The commentator also exclaimed, this battle was exactly as he expected, it was so exciting!
"It let the flames of the Fire Blast Explosion wrap around itself, making its hit rate become almost impossible to miss! I have never seen such a strategy" Both Brock and Misty were shocked! Not only that, almost everyone had the same expressions as them.
However, Gary's attack has not stopped yet, "Magmar, continue on with Flamethrower!"
At this moment, Magmar was covered in fire, suppressing Heracross, and even used Flamethrower at close range!
Suddenly, the flames exploded!
"Heracross, use U-Turn!" Ash gave his order before his Heracross could lose.
Although he almost won, Gary was not happy at all. He thought he was about to defeat Ash's second Pokémon, he would pull out a strange move like U-Turn out of nowhere to safely rescue another of his Pokémon!
"Okay, since it's the half way time, we will take a small intermission to get everyone a deserved break!"
This is the rule of a 6-on-6 all-player battle. When half the timer from the clock passed way, there will be a halftime break that will happen:
Now, Ash had sent out four Pokémon, Venusaur has lost its ability to fight, and his Heracross and Houndoom have lost most of their their combat ability, while the first Snorlax is still in full fighting condition, after all, he is is thick.
