Chapter 5: Chapter - 5: Understanding the Extraction Process
After a day's hard work, and with a newfound sense of control over his strength, Adrian was becoming more accustomed to his enhanced abilities. Finally, he could dress without tearing his clothes to shreds like he did at the beginning.
After reaching this level, Adrian began to understand the strange voice in his mind and secretly asked 'Who are you? Are you still there?'
'I am here, Host,' the mechanical voice replied.
'What kind of existence are you? Are you a system created by someone?' Adrian inquired.
'I am not a system.' Mechanical voice sounded

'Not a system? then what are you?' Adrian asked curiously.
'I don't know what I am. I only know that I am here to serve as your assistant,' the mechanical voice replied.
'You don't know how you ended up in my body? Weren't you the one who brought me to this world?' Adrian inquired.
'I didn't bring you to this world. When I woke up, you were already here,' the mechanical voice explained.
'Oh, I see. It seems like some higher power brought you here. Since you're here to serve me, then you can assist me further. Just like when I acquired the strong genes of ants, what other abilities do you have?' Adrian inquired.
'Yes, I primarily assist the host in extracting genes from other organisms,' the mechanical voice replied.
'How do we extract them? I'd prefer not to consume the creature like I did with the ant. Some creatures are rather disgusting, and I'd rather not eat them if I can help it,' Adrian explained.
'You don't have to consume the creatures anymore. The host can kill or capture the creatures, and I can randomly extract their powers,' the mechanical voice explained.
'In that case, why did I have such a strong urge to eat the ant earlier? I couldn't control myself and ended up swallowing it,' Adrian frowned.
'That's because I require bio-energy to awaken, so I compelled the host to consume the ants,' the mechanical voice replied.
'Listen, I want clear communication from now on. If there's something similar in the future, give me a warning and ask for my consent before taking any action. Don't mess with my body like that again,' Adrian exclaimed angrily at the mechanical voice in his mind.
'Understood, host. I won't act without your consent in the future,' the mechanical voice replied obediently.
'Very well, considering you're not a system but can communicate with me, I think you deserve a name. Do you identify yourself as male or female?' Adrian inquired, his hand stroking his chin in thought before addressing the mechanical voice.
'I don't have a gender. Based on some memories in the host's mind, if I were to be classified, I'd liken myself to some sort of the spirits the host has encountered before. I can sense that I have a carrier,' the mechanical voice explained.
'Huh!, what is your carrier?' Adrian was quite curious.
'I don't know, it's just a faint perception, and my ability is not enough to fully sense it at the moment,' replied the mechanical voice.
'Then let's go with Aeon,' Adrian suggested. 'Since you don't have any gender, and you don't feel your carrier, Aeon will be your name from now on.'
'Certainly, Host' Aeon replied with the same monotone voice.
'So Aeon, then I want to extract some genes from other creatures. Do you have any good suggestions?' Adrian inquired.
'The host now has power, but there is no speed. It is recommended that the host fuse the genes of biological creatures which is good in speed. In addition, defence, endurance, and the stamina can be fused. However, host, although I can help you extract biological genes, the extraction requires bio-energy. Now, your bio-energy is not enough to support the anymore extraction and fusion,' replied Aeon.
'Not enough bio-energy? There is such a thing, how do I get bio-energy?' Adrian queried.
'Killing other creatures. The higher the level of the biological individual, the stronger the strength, the more bio-energy can be obtained. With the scan of Aeon, the most advanced and easiest-to-find creature on the planet is human. Therefore, the best way for you to continue extracting quickly is to kill. If you kill ten people, you can extract the genes of other organisms again,' replied Aeon.
