Caspian kind of expected that answer. And Jael was right, it was probably best he got the answer from Asher himself.
"Alright, let's get this over with," He sighed, walking out of the bedroom.
"You still haven't eaten," Jael was quick to point out.
"I'll do that after the check-up," He negotiated.
Caspian was worried that if he did try to eat, he would puke.
His stomach was tight with nerves, and his knees were wobbly for a completely different reason.
Caspian would have protested not going for a check-up harder but he really didn't feel great.
Jael accepted the deal, picking his steps so that Caspian could keep up with him.
He was essentially doing this behind Asher's back but he was really worried.
Caspian moved stiffly and he didn't need to see more to guess the extent of his bruises. His skin was sickly pale and he had faint eye bags.
