Chapter 108: The Whole Person Has Grown Up
Kahn is an LSP, but he has a bottom line.
Although Robin and Boa Hancock's three sisters were all grown using his Paramecia fruit, which can ripen anything, transforming them from children to eighteen-year-olds, Kahn refrained from any inappropriate behaviour. In his eyes, they remained the young girls they originally were.
His steadfast principle was to wait until they reached the actual age of eighteen before considering anything romantic. This bottom line allowed Scarlett to seize an opportunity and become Kahn's first woman, preceding his maids.

As a maid, Hancock directed her anger at Scarlett, believing she seduced Kahn. Consequently, Hancock subjected Scarlett to rigorous Haki and physical training, often leading to injuries, both minor and severe, with no mercy due to her Paramecia Healing Fruit. Under Hancock's tough guidance, Scarlett's determination shone through. After four years of perseverance and two years of intense training, she finally mastered the two-colour Haki and Marine Six Styles.
By January 1509 of the Sea Circle Calendar, Scarlett's situation improved as Hancock's age turned eighteen, making her eligible for Kahn's affections. Finally receiving the attention she longed for, Hancock ceased her harsh treatment of Scarlett, provided Scarlett didn't provoke her.
Having won the hearts of two influential women, Kahn struggled to maintain the self-discipline he upheld for nineteen years. Nights were spent either at his ship or Kuja Island, often staying up past midnight and barely waking up on time.
Fortunately, Kahn's exceptional physical fitness and self-discipline meant he could maintain a rigorous schedule. Despite often staying up past midnight, he consistently woke up at six o'clock, ready for the day's challenges.
His nightly routine of changing sleeping locations didn't go unnoticed by Robin, the first maid. Robin, with her sly and playful nature, often teased Kahn subtly. She would add spices to his breakfast milk or create visually appealing but terrible-tasting dishes, making Kahn force himself to eat them under her watchful and expectant gaze. Even their daily conversations were laced with hidden jabs.
Understanding Robin's jealousy through his innate Observation Haki, Kahn knew he had to be careful. He took extra care to maintain a close relationship with Robin without overstepping boundaries. Unlike Scarlett and Hancock, Kahn's relationship with Robin remained platonic. He instead focused on helping Robin develop her Paramecia Flower-Flower Fruit's potential, making her the most mature among the girls.
Kahn's life seemed perfect, filled with daily practices and living a life many envied. However, on May 15, 1509, his peaceful existence was interrupted by a phone call.
"pururu, purururu, purururu...."
"Your Excellency Kahn, we have news about the Paramecia Op-Op Fruit you've been searching for."
The call from the North Blue black market leader excited Kahn. "Did you secure it?"
"No, we received a tip. Someone has the Paramecia Op-Op Fruit and contacted me to discuss the trade."
Kahn, eager to secure the fruit, responded, "I'm heading to North Blue. Ensure the seller doesn't leak any information about the Paramecia Op-Op Fruit. Offer him 10 billion Berries, in cash or through remittance, and assure him we won't extort him. Mention the 'Cross Family's' reputation to reassure him."
"I understand, Your Excellency Kahn."
As the call ended, Hancock, still half-asleep and drooling slightly, climbed onto Kahn's chest. "Master, are you going north?" she asked groggily.
Kahn nodded, gently pinching her cheeks. "Yes, the Op-Op Fruit is crucial for our family's future. I need to get it quickly."
He instructed Hancock, "I'll be going alone. Stay here and protect Robin and the others with Scarlett."
"Understood, Master," Hancock replied, sensing the importance of the mission despite not fully grasping its significance.
Kahn, using his telekinesis, wrapped the Grandine and quietly left KujaIsland. He soared through the sky, flying towards North Blue, determined to secure the Paramecia Op-Op Fruit for the family's next stage of development.
