Madam Pomfrey is a tall witch, skilled in healing arts, potions, herbal remedies, and other medicinal therapies.

Rumors suggest that St. Mungo's Hospital for Magical Maladies and Injuries had invited her three times to join them, promising her the position of Deputy Headmistress if she accepted.

Yet, even with such offers, Madam Pomfrey steadfastly refused, expressing her desire to remain at Hogwarts.

Of course, these are just rumors, the veracity of which is yet to be verified. Neither Madam Pomfrey nor St. Mungo's has ever commented on these rumors.

They neither confirm nor deny them.

This has become one of the small unsolved mysteries within Hogwarts.

When Kain entered the hospital wing, Madam Pomfrey just happened to pass by him, handing a bottle of green potion to a young wizard lying on a hospital bed.

"This is the last bottle of the potion for treating scabies, remember to apply it, do not drink it again."

After saying this, she hurried to another bed, muttering under her breath: "Why is it that every year at this time, so many young wizards are brought here! What exactly are the professors at Hogwarts doing? They are so irresponsible!"

It was clear that she was not in a good mood.

As Kain hesitated on how to start a conversation, Madam Pomfrey looked his way.

"Merlin's beard, what happened to this child!" she exclaimed as she hurried over, carefully placing Mikel on an empty bed and without looking back, asked: "What now, potions? Or is it Defence Against the Dark Arts? How did he even faint?"

"It's neither, Madam, it was from the Charms class."

Kain whispered, "Mikel cast a Lumos spell, then... this happened... Professor Flitwick said he probably had magical exhaustion."

"Indeed, it is magical exhaustion... wait, what did you just say?" Madam Pomfrey turned sharply to Kain, incredulously asking: "A Lumos spell?!!"

Her expression was as if she had just seen Dumbledore pole dancing at the Astronomy Tower.

The disbelief mixed with absurdity clearly showed she found Kain's statement unbelievable.

The young wizards these days are becoming less and less reliable, even their lies should at least make some sense.

Magical exhaustion from a Lumos spell... it's ridiculous, she thought. Why not say Filch was knocked out by a Lumos spell.

"It's true, the new students from Hufflepuff and Ravenclaw all saw it, and Professor Flitwick can vouch for it."

Kain hurriedly explained, summarizing the events that took place during the class.

After hearing this, Madam Pomfrey's doubts were largely dispelled.

If students from two houses had seen it, the story would probably spread throughout Hogwarts soon. If it were a lie, it would be easily exposed, not to mention he even brought up Filch.

Madam Pomfrey turned back to look at Mikel as if he were a rare magical creature; she had never seen a young wizard with such poor control over his own magic.

From the description, the Lumos spell seemed very much like a magical outburst.

Powerful, but uncontrollable.

Madam Pomfrey was certain that when she checked the young wizard just now, she saw no signs of a magical outburst; it was indeed just a simple exhaustion.

"Truly... an eye-opener." Madam Pomfrey muttered involuntarily.

Kain nodded in agreement, understanding her feelings completely as he felt the same.

If casting a spell were likened to driving a car, then Mikel's action was akin to flooring the gas pedal, draining the fuel tank, and speeding 200 kilometers in a second.

Don't think that's something to celebrate.

The speed was fast, but the stop was equally abrupt.

And it was fortunate that it was only a Lumos spell. If it had been a fiery spell... Kain shuddered at the thought, swearing to keep a distance from Mikeldrake in class from now on.

As far away as possible!

He had thought the "Explosion Prodigy" who was supposed to enroll next year was outrageous enough, but this year they had a "Cursed Wizard."

Hogwarts really doesn't foster idleness.

A few minutes later, Dumbledore arrived, bringing Snape from his class along with him.

Madam Pomfrey briefed them quietly at Mikel's bedside then stepped aside.

Dumbledore bent down, carefully observing Mikel's condition, occasionally tapping him with his wand.

After a while, he put away his wand without a word, turned to Kain, and asked, "Good morning, Kain. Was it you who brought him to Poppy here?"

"Yes, Professor."

 Kain nodded.

"You did well," Dumbledore smiled. "And I've heard from Sabrina about what happened. If it hadn't been for you helping those who fell, there might have been more than just Mr. Mikel lying here."

Kain waved his hands dismissively, "It was the least I could do, Professor, and I wasn't the only one helping."

"But you were the first to step up," Dumbledore winked. "Many older students and even adult wizards fail to remain calm in a crisis, but you did and you did it well.

Your bravery and humility have earned Hufflepuff twenty points."

Whether it was a trigger word or not, as Dumbledore spoke, Snape, who had been observing Mikel, suddenly shifted his focus to Kain.

As if he had just noticed there was another person standing there.

However, Kain didn't notice this, as he was asking Dumbledore, "So Professor, how is Mikel? Can he continue his classes?"

"Of course." Dumbledore smiled. "Although it's a bit troublesome, it's not difficult to solve. Just a bit of Suppressing Potion will do, our Potions Master will be able to brew it quickly."

"One day."

Snape came forward, coldly stating, "I guarantee it will be ready before the Hufflepuff potions class tomorrow. But Mr. Jobber, there's something I must remind you before then..."

Snape suddenly paused, revealing a mocking expression, "You'd better tell your friend to control his poor brain and the wand in his hand. Frequent magical exhaustion can turn a wizard into a dud, and I suppose you know what a dud means, don't you?"

"I know, Professor!" Kain said.

"Good."

Snape turned and left the hospital wing without another word.

"I think we should go too," Dumbledore said. "Mikel needs to rest, I suggest you come back to visit him this afternoon."
