Chapter 42: FORTY-TWO

The next morning, I marched into Ivan's room but he was not there. I went downstairs and found him playing video games with Juan, Karen was seated beside Juan cheering him on.

I frowned! Here they all were, all happy when Char was on her own dealing with a problem Ivan brought. Well, partially!

"We need to talk". I said, my arms crossed over my chest. Ivan looked up at me and back on the screen.

"Good morning to you too". He said, giving me an attitude over not being polite. Well, I can't always be him! Always polite, kind, and void of worries! I had real life problems, I've been through a lot in life than to be nice in every situation.

"We need to talk". I repeated. He sighed, still playing his game. Juan gave him a nudge but he didn't seem bothered.

Karen looked at me, mouthing "What's wrong" but I shook my head at her. She looked between Ivan and I, a little tensed.
