Chapter 47: The Art of Moving on

"Alfred, listen to me carefully,"

Mr. Kenneth's voice was low and stern, his eyes blazing with a serious intensity.

"From now on, I don't want you to have any contact with Bryan and Alexia. Do you understand? Don't visit them, don't talk to them, and don't even look in their direction."

Alfred's eyes widened in shock, his mind racing with questions.

"But why, Dad? What's going on?"

He gestured towards his father's bandaged hand, his curiosity getting the better of him.

"And what happened to you? Your hand... it's all burned and bruised!"

Mr. Kenneth's expression turned grim, his jaw clenched in a tight line.

"It's adult business, Alfred. You don't need to know the details. Just trust me when I say that those two are trouble, and I won't have you associating with them anymore."

His voice was firm, but Alfred could sense the underlying pain and worry that his father was trying to hide.
