Chapter 23: Chapter Twenty-three

　　Once again, that human, Amala Gaines, is testing my patience and each time she acts defiant, I have morbid thoughts of ripping her dress and taking her, forcing to mark her as my mate, so it will keep her mouth shut from now on.

　　If I hadn't left that room, I would have done it.

　　At that thought, my wolf supports the idea with a jubilant bark and I wish I could give it a warning glare.

　　"Behave, my wolf. Don't act rashly or else it only proves that human's point about us."

　　My wolf only scoffs in annoyance and I almost attempt to roll my eyes.

　　Even if I couldn't stay in my own bed to rest, there is another room where I can rest if I want to sleep separately from Marie.

　　I head to the other side and to my study room and into the balcony.

　　In this place, I feel at ease with its tranquil evening and the crescent moon illuminating the city lights.

　　It is my haven and the place where I can relax if I want to.
