Chapter 54: Two different insignia
"good work my fellow elves, now rest first and eat, then use your nature energy while practising sword movements later," Lawrence said with a smile
Now that I've mixed some red echina into the water we use for drinking, I'm sure I'll see great results soon
"Chieftess, I'll go outside the barrier with Elder Aisha and look at the surroundings of the barrier, I'll leave their training in your care," Lawrence said with a smile
"Don't worry about them, and please take care of yourself. You too Mother" she said looking at Lawrence and then at Aisha
"Now Elder Aisha, Victoria and Karthala, go and please get the best weapons you can find then let's head out" Lawrence said with a smile
"let's go!" Victoria said cheerfully while the other two just smiled
"Finally I can see what it looks like outside the barrier" Karthala said with a smile
Some time later. The elves are walking outside the barrier
They have been picking all the red echina they see and letting Victoria and Karthala hold it
"These herbs are so precious not only for mages but even for aura users why are the humans not picking them?" Lawrence asked Elder Aisha
"I do not know, they only wanted the flower you called moon petal flower before and didn't seem interested in the other herbs" Elder Aisha said while picking up some herbs
Don't tell me they didn't know the use of the red echina yet. That must be it, I don't even know when the alchemists discovered this since in hindsight, with its red appearance it looks poisonous
"Lawrence, shouldn't we bring more elves to help us with this?" Victoria said
"No, we don't know what's out here, bringing more of them will only be troublesome since I'll need to protect them if something attacks us," Lawrence said while looking around
"yeah you're right, I won't even go out here without you," Karthala said with a smile
"Lawrence come take a look" Aisha said worriedly
"huh, a human? what is she doing here" Lawrence said while looking at a severely wounded woman wearing metal armour
"take a look at her armour Lawrence isn't that a dragon head?" Karthala said with a surprised tone
"yeah guard the surroundings while I'm healing her," Lawrence said while using healing energy, he's glowing golden
Lawrence then started to heal the woman wearing metal armour.

"neigh"
"Lawrence I hear something" "Me too," the elves accompanying Lawrence said

"neigh"
Lawrence then signalled Aisha, Victoria, and Karthala to duck down with him and hide behind large trees
A few seconds later
About 20 soldiers riding on horseback stopped near where Lawrence and the elves are
"we lost her" a soldier wearing armour with a lion insignia leading them said
"I can't believe the ambush failed and we failed to kill her" a soldier beside him said angrily
"His Majesty will surely punish us for this, search some more, we still have time before nightfall," the soldier leading them said
Who are these soldiers? Looks like two human kingdoms are at war with each other.
I think the one leading the group must have a high position in the army since he can talk to a king directly
I've been looking for a source of information about the outside world and looks like they delivered themselves to me
Lawrence then signalled the elves to stay and pointed at the human soldier who lost consciousness
He then tightly held his sword with one hand and activated his nature energy, he's glowing green
"s-sir! There's something over there! " a soldier pointed at Lawrence's direction said
"get ready he's coming!" the soldier leading the group shouted
Lawrence then charged at the group of soldiers and summoned two trees in the middle
"aarrgh!" the soldiers were lifted high and thrown off their horse
Some soldier landed on the ground and some managed to fall on their feet
A soldier who managed to fall to his feet started to charge at Lawrence
Lawrence then pointed his sword towards the man
Both the soldier and Lawrence are charging at each other
"Pierce!" Lawrence shouted
His aura surrounding his sword became as pointy as the sword itself and extended 3 feet piercing through the man
Lawrence then started slicing the soldier without any resistance. Like cutting through the water
"Run!" the soldiers who were at the back shouted
"you cowards! Stand your ground and attack together!" the man leading the soldiers ordered
7 soldiers then started to look at Lawrence with resolve on their faces while tightly holding their swords with both hands
"charge!"
the man leading them ordered the 7 soldiers to attack Lawrence who was still busy slicing some of their comrades
The 7 men charged at Lawrence while being surrounded by an aura. Lawrence noticed them and went in their direction
He then extended his nature energy to 7 thick 5 feet lines and grabbed their heads using it, he lifted the soldiers about 2 feet high up the ground and sliced them all in one swing
"m-monster!" the soldier leading the group said while trembling
"Elder Aisha, Victoria, Karthala please finish the others, make sure to surround yourself with nature energy before charging," Lawrence said without looking away from the leader of the soldier
"my friend, why don't we talk for a bit?" Lawrence said with a smile while covered with blood from head to toe
"m-monster!" the man leading the soldiers then started to run away from Lawrence
Lawrence extended his nature energy for about 6 feet and grabbed the man's head.
"don't worry I won't hurt you" Lawrence said with a smile
He then used his nature energy and lifted the man towards him. Then dropped him on the ground and forced him to sit cross-legged. Lawrence then looked at Aisha, Victoria and Karthala
Not bad they managed to win against 5 opponents without being injured, I knew they could do it.
"thank you for your effort, please carry the girl over there and bring her here," Lawrence said with a smile
"Sure!" Victoria said with a smile
The three then walked towards the unconscious woman Lawrence healed earlier. Lawrence then looked at the man trembling in front of him.
Lawrence started removing the grasses around him and the soldier.
He then wrote "Who are you" and "I won't hurt you" on the soil
Well I won't hurt you right now, but you'll be in pieces soon
