Chapter 36: Looting
Lawrence took a nap after eating some fruits. He woke up a few hours later.
He looks around and notices some of the elves sleeping including Freya, Aisha, Adriana, Karina, Claren, Miraen, Oliva, Alyana, Victoria, and Karthala
He looked up to see the moon
It's late night huh, I need to clean up the camp before dawn
He then looks around the resting area to see if the elves finished creating a rope he will need to create a new whip. He found it not long after
Damn, they managed to create ten. And it's sturdier than what I created. looks like they went all out huh? I don't think this will break even if a sword slashes this.
He then stood up and started tying a rope on a root, making a total of four. He finished making his new whip in a few minutes
Alright, let's start the looting I mean cleaning up the forest.
He stretches then starts to go to the barrier without any elf noticing him
He first went to the young man tied and covered by leaves
Is he still seeping? Damn it must be nice not to know he's about to sleep forever soon
He then starts to run around piercing anyone he sees moving, he even pierces the already dead one while using his nature energy he is glowing green.
I forgot about the small fires earlier, lucky it died on its own and did not burn all the equipment along with the forest.
He went back to the human camp
There's a bunch of battle rams, bows arrows, spears, swords and even some leather armor elves can use after they become real warriors
A few hours after clearing the area surrounding the barrier and near the human camp he decided to go back.
It is time for some practical training for my little lambs
He returned to the rest area near the glade and saw the elves still deep asleep
Damn, I killed hundreds while this sh*ts slept huh.
"Are you going out again dear?" Freya asked
The elves started to wake up
"y-yes, I need to drive them all away. It's what the goddess tasked me to do" Lawrence said with a stiff smile
I just return you know, I've been working my ass off while you're sleeping
"then I will come with you" "Me too I'll join" "I'm going too" "So will I," Freya along with the other elves said
I've killed most of them now and as long as they won't get killed in one hit, I can heal them.
And if they have reinforcement, they will need some torches to travel around the forest. Elves that live in this forest, can see through the darkness better than humans
"All alright but do not bring any moon crystal, we will travel through with the cover of the night. There will also be a lot of dead bodies along the way. If you can't handle seeing dead bodies, Do not join us in going out" he said
Does any of you know how to use weapons?" Lawrence asked
"no we don't know how to use it" I have a stick" "I have vines" I'll bring some rocks" "I'll throw trunks and them"
Yeah, throw a bunch of rocks at them while they are charging with swords. Genius
"just go and bring some tree trunks for a weapon. I'll also walk ahead of you guys. If you see a human, tell me. Aisha and chieftess please position yourself at the back and protect the elves from behind" Lawrence said with a smile
"All alright," Aisha said with a determined expression
"I understand," Adriana said with a smile
I'll just ask these little lambs to grab some swords along the way. This will be practically training my little lambs. I hope we all make it back alive later.
A few minutes later. All the elves are holding something as a form of weapon
"let's head outside the barrier, if you find anything shining, grab it it might be a weapon so don't touch the silver or white part of it. Don't go too far and leave the group do you understand?" Lawrence asked the elves
"yes! They all answered in unison
"Let's head out! " he commanded
The group then started walking outside the barrier in the cover of darkness
A Few minutes later
"h-hey I think I saw someone over there" an elf shouted
I think that guy is part of the patrol, He is dead for sure
"some of you, please go to that area and grab the shiny sword like this one," Lawrence said while showing them his sword
A few seconds later
"Blaaurrggh" "Blaaurrggh" The elves that went to retrieve the swords puked
"Those are what the bodies of humans look like, get used to it. Grab the weapon and let's leave" Lawrence commanded
Along the way to the camp, the elves saw over 40 dead bodies and threw up one after the other
They reach the camp not long after that. At this point, all the elves except Lawrence, Aisha and Adriana have empty stomachs
"There are so many dead bodies here" "Lawrence did you do all of this" "You're so powerful" "Were they here to kill us? "
The elves said
"We don't have much time, let's talk inside the barrier. For now, get everything you see. The armour, weapons, that food over there everything excluding the tend and beds. I shall guard you all while you do it" Lawrence ordered
A few minutes later
"gaaaaaahhhh! " an elf shouted
Lawrence immediately run towards that direction and found an elf pointing towards someone
"huh he's still alive but crashed by a tree"
Lawrence then used his natural energy and pierced the man's heart. He's glowing green. The man died not long after
"l-Lawrence why did you kill him," an elf with black hair asked
"*sigh* if we do not kill them, they will tell the other humans that most elves cannot fight like you. They will attack with greater numbers the next time, and they will be able to kill me, then kill all of you" Lawrence said with a sad face
"Just please get the weapons," Lawrence said. And stop asking woman. He thought
After some time, Dawn is starting to break.
"Alright, my fellow elves go back to the barrier I shall look around a bit more before returning. Chieftess, I leave them to you" Lawrence said with a smile
"Don't worry about it and take care of yourself" the chieftess said while holding a spear with metal as a spearhead
"Dear come back soon ok?" Freya asked with a worried face while holding a metal sword
"Son, come back soon we will wait for your return" Karina said with a worried face while holding a spear with metal as a spearhead
"Don't worry, please take care of yourselves" Lawrence said with a smile
The elves started their journey back to the barrier which is just about 850m away from the camp. They are carrying a bunch of different supplies and weapons brought by the humans for a siege.
Not long after Lawrence starts to go to his prisoner who is still sleeping
*slap*
*slap*
*slap*
"wake up," he said
*Slap*
*slap*
The young man started to wake up
"m-most... mmm" the young man tried to talk but Lawrence covered his mouth with his hand
"shut up, who are you?" he said
"mmmm monster," the young man said
"I said shut up and answer me, who are you and why did you attack me?" Lawrence asked with an annoyed face
"monster please don't kill me" the young man pleaded
The hell is he dumb or he just can't understand me?
Lawrence then removes some grasses near where they are then writes something on the soil
"Who are you" is what he wrote
The tied young man's eyes widened
"i-i am I am Arden de Brasoe from the house of Brasoe" Arden replied
Lawrence wrote "Why did you attack us" It says
"Be-because of the herbs, they are valuable so we want some to improve our family's standing on the nobility" Arden said with a terrified face
The hell, just for money damn they are dumb as f*ck huh
"how many soldiers do you have in your family and is anyone in your family a mage?" Lawrence wrote
"we-we have about 3 thousand but 200 died here a-and my mother's brother who is my uncle is a mage that can use lightning," Arden said
Lawrence then stands up, walks back to the barrier while using his nature energy, and then pierces Alden 4x without looking at him. Alden died.
