CHAPTER 24
Tessa was stunned by Klaus words, she could see Klaus wasn't afraid but how does he plan to go against a head commander?
She knew Klaus was standing up for her, but he would surely face severe consequences if he fought with Edward.
First, he wouldn't be able to defeat Edward, the strange aura Edward was exhibiting a while ago already proved that he wasn't an ordinary fighter, she doesn't sense that in Klaus, and Edward have a broad connection, so Klaus would be in serious trouble afterward.
Tessa stepped closer to Edward, she didn't want to get Klaus in trouble.
"Mr. Edward, I would wait till the discussion is over, till you give your final judgment"
Edward's serious expression slowly faded away, he wanted to say something when Klaus suddenly blocked Tessa's view.
"No, Miss Tessa. Head commander Edward Jackson, would apologize to you, then you can leave anytime you want"
Klaus's eyebrows were reaching to his eyes now.
Jeremy was stupefied by Klaus's words.
'What is wrong with this moron, does he want to put Tessa's life in danger'
He couldn't understand Klaus's foolishness, going up against a head commander when he was a mere private.
What a joke!
"Mind your business, brat!"
Jeremy roared.
Edward burst out laughing, Klaus's words took him by surprise, he couldn't help but burst out into laughter.
His face quickly changed to a serious one.
"Move out of the way kid. I am giving you a last chance because you served this country, and as such I consider you as a brother, but if you don't listen, then don't blame me for being too harsh on you"
Klaus blocked Tessa's view completely.
"Step back, Miss Tessa. things might get too rough onward"
Edward's face darkened more, Tessa's heart was beating fast for some unknown reasons.
She sounded in a rather shaking tone.
"Are you going to fight your superior, this isn't right Mr Klaus. Don't worry I will stay, it's not like anything bad would happen if I stay"
Klaus's eyes were on Edward. He sounded in a brave manner.
"If I have to fight Head Commander Edward Jackson for him to come back to his senses, I would gladly do it. He doesn't understand what it means to be a military personnel, holding you hostage clearly shows he has lost his way, and I would set him back on track"
Tessa was touched by Klaus's bravery, but if Klaus was telling the truth, why wasn't anybody stepping up to stop Edward, were they afraid, or they didn't want to interfere.
Nobody was doing anything, they were all watching with full attention.
"Step backward, Miss Tessa"
Klaus sounded again.
He was about to leave the restaurant when he saw Tessa being held hostage at the brief opening of the entrance door, he couldn't believe the reason when he heard it.
The special unit lacked discipline, the standard had fallen, someone would have to restore it back to when it was created.
Perhaps, he would.
Edward was way past his tolerance level, but he couldn't see himself fighting with a mere private, it was downgrading.
He snapped his fingers at the two military men who were holding Tessa earlier.
"Take him to the disciplinary room, and don't let him out until I say so"
The two men wanted to move but they were stopped by the three people that followed Klaus inside.
They had a knife to their throat.
Without looking at the scene behind him, Klaus sounded.
"This is between me and you, Head Commander Edward Jackson. Don't involve others"
Edward's eyes turned deadly, he hated the way Klaus had been addressing him, the kid lacked manners, and he would teach him that today.
"I guess I would have to handle you myself, one thing you would learn today is to never question your elders, even if they are wrong!"
Edward launched forward to Klaus, Tessa's eyes widened in shock, Edward's movement was quick, she didn't know a human could move this fast.
Jeremy straightened up to watch the scene, the people holding him down let go of him when Edward launched forward.
He couldn't believe Klaus was truly going up against Edward.
How does he plan to win? Head commander Edward had gone beyond the stages of human, every military personnel in the special unit was beyond the stages of a normal human, they had broken through to a stage called the warrior realm.
A realm that sharpened the senses of those in it, the overall strength and physicality would be improved to a degree that surpasses that of a normal human, yet the warrior realm was only the beginning of the ladder, but to enter the warrior realm, one have to train day and night for years, and it still goes down to luck.
Only a few people have been able to achieve it, and they worked so hard to reach there, in turn, they became a killing machine, a perfect weapon of destruction.
He heard that those that have achieved this feat in the military special unit were from the Commanders upwards, only a few Mayors had reached the warrior realm, but all the Commanders had achieved the height.
Looking at Klaus, he doesn't sense anything from him. To think he would be dumb enough to go up against a warrior realm fighter was absurd, he doubted if Klaus would even last a minute.
Seeing Edward's movement, Jeremy believed Edward would currently be a fourth-star warrior, which was a feat some people spend a lifetime achieving, yet Head Commander Edward was already there at such a young age.
At forty years, some people would still be in the first stage of the warrior realm, yet Edward was at the fourth stage, he might reach the sixth or seventh stage before he passed on, that alone was frightening.
No wonder he was friends with so many people, he was definitely talented.
The Wood family might not be able to stand against somebody like this, Tessa would've to apologize to Edward once he finish with the low-life scumbag.
