Chapter 61: Worrying Over Alessander

Ferrari left and didn't come back that night. I tried waiting up for him, but I eventually fell asleep and woke up later than I'd hoped to. However, respite that, Ferrai still did not return home.

What the hell was keeping him up?

I continued to worry about that, as Elio pulled over at the big corporate building, where the higher ups chose to conduct this impromptu meeting.

"Boss, it isn't too late to leave the country, I don't have a good feeling about this." Elio insisted while opening the door for me.

Most of my other men swore loyalty to Bronx in my absence. Unfortunately for the double crosses, the Russians handled everyone who helped the bastard.

Something I felt Ferrai orchestrated for my sake.

"I'm not going to run away." Not now, not when the police were no longer after me, and Jas was safe from all this. If I made a wrong move, it could only stir up more shit.

And as of the moment, I wanted nothing more than a peaceful time.
