"Let's play a little game!"

Snape wasn't easily persuaded.

He quickly proposed a challenge that was usually difficult for Cedric:

"If the number of incorrect answers from the Hufflepuffs is no more than 1 during potion making, you'll get +5 points if successful, otherwise, you'll lose 1 point."

"Do you dare?"

It was originally break time.

The Hufflepuffs had just left the potion class to catch their breath.

But when Cedric started talking to Snape, everyone gradually returned to the classroom.

They heard Snape's proposal.

Everyone took a deep breath.

During the first class just now, they had a total of twelve failures, meaning their success rate was barely fifty percent.

Failing by no more than 1 person.

That was almost impossible.

The additional point was just to account for unexpected situations.

It would have been okay if it were just testing Cedric himself.

After all, even Professor Snape admitted that Cedric knew all these during his tenure and was willing to spend 2 points to buy himself a quiet class.

This was to test how he could help everyone improve their grades.

They had confidence in Cedric, but they lacked confidence in themselves!

"This is good!"

Beyond everyone's expectations, Cedric hardly hesitated and quickly agreed:

"But there's a condition. If I successfully improve the potion, then I should get additional points!"

He was determined for the points.

It was time to put his plea room to good use and officially start researching the antidote for the silenced cannons.

"Sure!"

Snape agreed, and they quickly reached an agreement.

Seeing them reaching an agreement, the Hufflepuffs were in a panic!

"Cedric, we, we don't have confidence!"

"Yeah, what if we lose points?"

"We can't do it, I'm shaking so much I can't even cut the roots properly!"

Facing the worried students, Cedric stood up directly.

He put his wand against his throat, and soon, his amplified voice echoed in the underground classroom:

"Please don't worry, everyone. Since it's my bet, I'll take responsibility for all the points, all the deducted points, will be solely my responsibility!"

Seeing Cedric taking all the responsibility, many people's worries eased, and the crowd gradually quieted down.

"Next, I believe in all of you!"

"We're all the best at Hogwarts. If you can be admitted to Hogwarts, then never underestimate your abilities."

Cedric paced in front of the Hufflepuffs, his serious gaze sweeping over every student looking at him.

"We must persevere."

"I believe everyone can progress together and complete this great challenge!"

His encouragement was felt by everyone.

They looked at each other, and a hint of joy appeared on their faces.

No one wanted to prove themselves.

No one would admit they couldn't do it.

No one would give up without a fight, and then confidently turn around and say to their past selves, "I'll do better next time!"

Gradually, some people nodded, starting to acknowledge Cedric.

The Ravenclaws nearby looked at him with admiration; in their eyes, Cedric seemed to shine brightly among the crowd!

Talented, responsible, and handsome!

Indeed, the Sorting Hat was right!

The enthusiastic applause, contrasting with the gloomy dungeon, erupted.

"Well done, Cedric, we support you!"

"Yes, we will ultimately succeed!"

"So beautiful, reading a hundred times, the meaning naturally emerges. How did Cedric come up with such profound words?"

"Love it, love it, the perfect Cedric!"

In Snape's eyes.

Cedric stood out brilliantly among the students, with a star-studded aura that even he couldn't ignore.

Then Cedric spoke again.

Bringing this glory back to himself.

"The best!"

Cedric turned to face Snape directly.

"This is a test from Professor!"

"To review and learn anew, reading a hundred times reveals the truth!"

"Professor hopes that I won't forget the basics, so he borrowed everyone to help me consolidate my foundation, to keep me from aiming too high and to truly master potion making!"

"I will complete this challenge well."

"Thank you, Professor Snape!"

Seeing Cedric's slight bow, Snape responded with a rare hint of confusion.

He shifted his gaze between his raised and lowered fingers, squeezing his wand tightly.

Under everyone's gaze.

Snape slightly nodded in response to Cedric's gratitude.

The warm applause erupted again.

The chill of the dungeon was alleviated, and everyone's enthusiasm soared.

The second potion class continued.

Cedric didn't make any moves in class.

He waited until Snape finished teaching and came to the Hufflepuffs to answer questions.

Seeing some Ravenclaws lingering, he warmly invited them.

Soon.

Almost the entire class stayed behind, focusing on Cedric, continuing to discuss the content of the potion class.

Snape stood at the classroom door, looking at Cedric, who seemed to shine brighter than ever, and he began to recall his own time as a student.

What was he doing back then?

Right, competing fiercely with James Potter, enemies who couldn't stand each other. Even insulting his beloved, causing his lifelong regrets.

At that time, no one taught him.

What was right, what was wrong!

Snape's heart felt a pang of bitterness.

If only he could have met Cedric back then!
