Chapter 15: Xenovian Form
After another twenty-minute drive, the jeep drove into a duplex with a fairly large compound. As he and Sergeant Skull got off the jeep, they were greeted by three fairly young ladies dressed in maid outfits, their curious gaze lingering on the young Lucius.
"Welcome, Young Master Blackwater." They said in unison, accompanied by a bow.
"Haha! Do you see this kid? Your life is only about to get a lot better." Sergeant Skull laughed, but Lucius simply walked past him and the maids and entered the building.
"Welcome Master Lucius" A mechanical voice rang as soon as he walked into the entryway.
It was a spacious entryway adorned with a few expensive pieces of furniture and eye-catching artworks hung on the walls.
Turning around to find the source of the sound, Lucius realized there was a smart security system embedded at the doorway.
For someone who lived in a dilapidated building, he thought he would be a bit more excited, but strangely he felt empty. The change after his fusion with the voice never bothered him, but his lack of emotion was something that affected him every moment of his life.
'So Xenovians don't feel?' Lucius asked.
[It's not that you are unable to feel. Your emotions are toned down greatly and only the extreme emotions surface. An example is the death of your sister made you react but speaking about the stripping of your family name wasn't just as important.] The voice explained.
[With this, you can easily understand what is most important to you] it added.
"Interesting." Lucius said, but the maid who followed him inside thought he was speaking about the building.
"I'm glad you are satisfied with it." She said with a flirtatious smile.
[Everyone here has been informed of your status and potential. Don't be surprised these servants will try to get with you, hoping to secure themselves a spot in your life.] The voice warned, and Lucius mentally nodded.
At that moment, Sergeant Skull walked in with a smile.
"I will head to the academy to complete your registration that way you can begin tomorrow. You should spend today resting and eating well." He said as he reached into his pocket and pulled out a card.
"Your cellphone should be in your room and that is my card. Give me a call if you need anything." He added.
Lucius simply nodded and took the card before speaking.
"Will you be heading outside the walls again?"
"Yeah… But I'll come running if you need anything." Sergeant Skull gave him a wink before walking out.
Lucius stood and watched the sergeant leave while considering whether to keep his card or throw it away.
[He may be of use to you in the future. There is no harm in holding on to it.]
'I guess so' Lucius said and turned around to see the same maid standing close to him, her big breasts just inches away from his face.
"I prepared a hot bath for you." She said before leaning in, her breast rubbing against his chest. "I can help you bathe if you wish."
While she spoke, the other maids walked in, their faces twitching with anger when they saw this. They all had the same intentions of taking advantage of the innocence of this ten-year-old.
"What is your name?" Lucius asked calmly, and the face of the maid lit up.
"Maria…." She said while licking her lips.
"If you ever act inappropriately around me again, I will kill you on the spot." Lucius said with a blank expression, but his words made the three shiver.
He still had the blood stains of the mutated dog, so his words sounded more authentic.
"I-I apologize!" Maria bowed with a terrified expression.
"Now, show me my room. The rest prepare food for me, a lot." Lucius said as he walked past her.
Maria looked at the others with a pale face and saw they were also shaken. When Lucius spoke, his indifferent presence had changed, and it felt like they were standing in the presence of a beast.
She pushed the thoughts aside and chased after Lucius, scared that wasting more time would infuriate him.
Lucius soon entered the living room, and the first thing that caught his attention was the floor-to-ceiling windows that bathed the living room in natural light while offering a breathtaking compound view. The high ceilings and spacious room made the expensive furniture look small.
"T-there is a home automation system that allows you to control lighting, temperature, and entertainment with voice commands." Maria stuttered and Lucius just nodded at her words.
They walked up the stairs, leading to the next floor filled with four bedrooms, a library, and a training chamber.
Upon entering his room, Lucius slammed the door behind him and looked around. It was a massive room with a king-sized bed at the far end. Beside the bed was a bedside table with a night lamp powered by Ather crystals and an alarm clock.
At the right was the door leading to his dressing room, and at the left was his bathroom. Curious, Lucius walked into the dressing room, which was a massive room filled with mirror walls. At the center were numerous clothes racks filled with many dresses of various types that were his size.
"Are there cameras in this room?" Lucius asked.
[You are not important enough for them to go that far. Also, no one wants to see a skinny kid naked, so even if there are cameras it won't be a place like this.]
"Fuck you." Lucius cursed with a straight face.
"Devour…" He muttered, and his eyes let out a bright purple flash.
His long black hair suddenly rose under the influence of an unforeseen force, becoming spiky while gaining shades of purple all over it. Lucius saw his skin darken with purple lights spreading across his body like an electric circuit, while his mouth tore all the way to his ears, revealing a bulky set of shark like teeth that could be over a hundred if counted.
"So this is what I look like in my Xenovian form?" Lucius said in an unnaturally deep voice, while looking at his claws.
He wasn't sure why, but he felt invincible.
