Roman was almost done. He had spent what felt like an eternity poring over the pages of the mysterious book, devouring every word, every sentence, every paragraph. His eyes had scanned the pages with an insatiable hunger, seeking answers to the questions that had haunted him for so long. And finally, after all this time, he had reached the end.

It was strange, he thought, that humans were relegated to the end of the book. Normally, the most important information was reserved for the beginning and end of books, the parts that readers were most likely to remember.
