Pov ??,
I can't believe I'm going to do this.
My name is Jeanne Eucus, the protector of the last line of this kingdom.
Many people will say it's absurd for a woman to fight, but in reality, I can, thanks to a power called Sword Birth.
I can create magic swords of any kind: fire, ice, sacred, dark. With this power, I am known as the Magic Sword of the kingdom.
My situation, and that of the king, is terrible. We are invaded by enemies who are much stronger, faster, and more resilient than us.
Having no other choice, I decide to do something I never thought I would do. My ancestor had once formed a friendship with a Devil he helped with a power called Twilight Healing. To show his gratitude, the Devil showed him how to invoke him if he ever needed help.
It took me a while to draw the invocation circle correctly, and then there was the chanting to do.
Jeanne: "Come to me and grant my wish. Come to me, Chysis Gremory."
The circle began to glow red, and you could feel the power flowing into it.
Pov Dia,
I was quietly preparing my explosive arrows for the next festival when suddenly a circle appeared at my feet.
Rimuru and Sera widened their eyes and were about to say something, but I interrupted them.
Dia: "I will be back for supper, don't worry."
I felt my body being sucked in and pushed in all directions. The circle had been improved for more comfort, so I wonder what it felt like before.
When the sensations disappeared, I was blinded by the light.
Pov Jeanne,
The circle continued to shine until someone appeared above it.
Jeanne: "What the hell, the circle wasn't meant to summon a kid."
Dia: "First of all, know that I am a major Devil. I just haven't fully grown yet, it's not my fault."
Jeanne: "They say that Devils can take any appearance they want, so you could turn your body into something more mature. So yes, you are a kid."
Dia: "Make your wish so we can finish this quickly."
Jeanne: "I want you, Chysis Gremory, to help us destroy the invaders of this kingdom."
Dia: "Wait a minute, it's Dia, not Chysis."
Jeanne: "Holy shit, I asked for Chysis Gremory, not a kid who's not her."
Dia: "You just got it wrong in the circle. This part had to be straight and not distorted, which made you invoke the nearest Gremory to your home."
She pointed to a place, and when I looked at the drawing, I didn't see any difference.
Jeanne: "It is what is written on the paper."
I showed her the paper, and she opened her eyes wide.
Dia: "I knew she had no artistic talent, but this is a catastrophe. If there were 2 or 3 more errors in the circle, the result would have been to take a part of our POD and blow up the surroundings of the circle."
Jeanne: "So wait, from the beginning this circle has not been valid?"
Dia: "No, it's not a good circle, but I can still help you with your request."
Jeanne: "And how could a child do something about the problem?"
Dia: "Don't think of Devils as humans, so don't apply the same logic to me. I am very strong."
Jeanne: "OK, and can you do something about the invaders?"
Dia: "Yes, I can, but what can you offer me in exchange?"
Jeanne: "Whatever you want—my power, my name, my life, my wealth."
Dia: "I'm not interested in your power, but I'll take the rest. Anyway, you should have died at the end of the request."
Jeanne: "How do you know that?"
Dia: "If you had done what I'm about to do, you would have perished on the battlefield. So it makes sense for me to do something that would have cost you your life without guaranteeing victory, to take your life with a guaranteed victory."
Jeanne: "If it is for the good of my kingdom, I am always ready to die. Let me be on the battlefield anyway."
Dia: "You can even assist me if you want, but if you die during the fight, I will continue and then take your wealth and other valuable items."
Jeanne: "You have a stake in winning this war."
Dia: "Don't worry, I'm taking this war as training for a civil war."
Jeanne: "I feel insulted that my war is only training."
Dia: "I'm going to do one more preparation, and then we'll attack."
She created a magic circle and spoke words I did not understand, unfortunately.
Dia: "Now, we just have to wait."
Reader:" It’s weird but I feel like I’ve heard the name Eucus somewhere."
Author:" I don’t know what you’re talking about (look away)"
