Chapter 2: chapter 2

After everyone had disembarked from the ship, they snuck back inside, and I searched through the emergency supplies. I grabbed an axe and a sharpener. I climbed onto the roof of the ship and, with a beautiful view, began sharpening my axe.

After a while, the axe was very sharp, and a voice caught my attention below. "Do you think we care who's in charge? We need to go to the weather mountain. Not because the Chancellor said so, but because the longer we wait, the hungrier we'll get. It's a 30-kilometer hike. Who's in?"

Bellamy replied to Clarke, "I think it's time for the privileged to work. You two should go for food."

"YES YES YES!" shouted everyone else in approval. Before anyone else could speak, I slid down from the ship from a height of about 10 meters and landed on my feet without any issue.

"I'm in," I told Clarke. Wells replied to me, "Thanks for your help, Logan Richardson." I said, "Don't get it twisted, Wells, I'm not doing this for you. It's about survival. If I die, who will kill the Chancellor when he comes down to Earth?" Wells was stunned by my response.

Everyone was shocked by my response. I paid no attention to them and just glanced at Octavia, who was looking at me with desire, perhaps wishing to do things she couldn't do on the Ark.

As we were getting ready to leave, Octavia and Bellamy arrived. "Hey, I'm going too," Octavia said, despite Bellamy's attempts to convince her to stay, he failed.

Changing the subject, Clarke asked, "Hey, Clarke, what are these bracelets we're wearing for?" and she replied, "Most likely they're for sending our vital data to the Ark."

Although I already knew, when I heard that, I grabbed my axe and struck the bracelet hard, breaking it. "What are you doing? You're crazy!"

"It's better if they think we're dead so they don't bother us. Most likely they sent us down here because the Ark is dying, right?" I replied to Clarke, and she said, "Yes, you're right. That's why you shouldn't take it off. We're their only hope of survival. We must do our best for our families."

"My family was floated because of me. Everyone on the Ark can die. I don't care," I said coldly, as I thought, 'It's not time for them to come down yet, not until I have control of the youth,' and Bellamy said, "True, Clarke, why should we bother for people who don't care about us?"

"Not only are they our families, but they're also our doctors, nurses, engineers, farmers. How long do you think we'll last here if I'm the only one who knows medicine and I don't know as much as I'd like?" Clarke replied.

While Bellamy and Clarke continued to argue, I walked away and behind me came Octavia. I turned around and stopped walking. I said, "Why are you following me, Octavia?" She let out a small laugh and replied, "hehe, I'm just curious. What if...?" She approached me and gave me a deep kiss.

My hands began to explore her warm body without going further, of course. "Mmmhh," only moans could be heard coming from Octavia's mouth. Before finishing my kiss with Octavia, I could see that behind Octavia were two people, one was Clarke and the other was Bellamy.

"YOU BASTARD, GET AWAY FROM HER!" shouted Bellamy running towards us. He grabbed Octavia's waist firmly and dodged the attempt to separate us. "What do you want, Bellamy? Can't you see we're busy?" I said, and that only enraged him more. "OR COME HERE RIGHT NOW," Bellamy shouted at Octavia.

"NO, you can't control me, brother. Finally, I'm free and can do what I want," Octavia replied, and Bellamy, full of rage, pulled his gun from its holster and said, "Yes, I can't control you, but I can kill him." He aimed the gun at me, and although I was calm, I was already thinking about how to defeat him with the least losses.

"No, brother, don't do it," Octavia said, stepping in front of me, and after that, Clarke deigned to speak, "Bellamy, don't do it, you want to be a leader. If you do whatever you want, you'll just be a dictator."

"Bellamy didn't say anything for a few seconds as we stared directly at each other. I could feel fear in his gaze, possibly because my thirst for blood was flowing in his direction. After a few seconds, he lowered the gun and said, 'Tsk, we'll talk later.'"

"Let's go, we have to leave now to get there before nightfall."

After exploring the forest, we arrived at a river.

"Look, it's a river," said Octavia, running towards it. "Since we're here, we could enjoy it," she said to everyone and took off her clothes. Although a little jealous that the guys were seeing her in her underwear, I walked towards the river while Octavia jumped into the water.

"Hahaha, this is so comfortable," Octavia said, and suddenly she felt danger around me and I shouted, "OCTAVIA, GET OUT NOW!" She took it as a joke and just laughed a little.

"AAHHH, HELP!" Octavia screamed as a large snake lunged at her. Without thinking twice, I jumped towards the giant snake and hit its head so hard with my axe that I split it in two.

"Are you okay, Octavia?" I asked as I pulled her out of the river. "My leg hurts a bit," she replied. Seeing her grimace in pain, I felt a strong urge to protect her at all costs.

"LET'S GO BACK TO CAMP!" I shouted as I carried Octavia like a princess and moved forward without waiting for a response.

"But we're already halfway there, we can't go back," Wells said. Upon hearing that, I continued forward and in a cold tone I said, "This time I'll overlook your stupidity. You better shut your mouth or you'll be the first Jaha I kill."

As we continued our journey, Clarke caught up to me. "Hey, Logan, can I talk to you?" she asked, and I replied, "Sure, what's up?" She looked at me with a serious expression and said, "I know you're not doing this for us, but thank you for helping. It means a lot."

I was taken aback by her words. Clarke had always been strong and independent, but in that moment, I saw a vulnerable side to her that I had never seen before. "You're welcome, Clarke. We're all in this together," I replied, and she smiled at me, a genuine, grateful smile that warmed my heart.

As we arrived back at camp, everyone was relieved to see Octavia safe. Bellamy approached me and said, "I owe you one, Logan. Thank you for saving my sister." I nodded, acknowledging his gratitude.

That night, as we sat around the campfire, Bellamy stood up and addressed the group. "Today, Logan showed us what it means to be a true leader. He put himself in harm's way to protect one of our own. We should all strive to be like him," Bellamy said, and everyone applauded.

I sat quietly, feeling a sense of pride in what I had done. I had always been a loner, but now, I felt like I was part of something bigger than myself. And as I looked around at my new friends, I knew that together, we would survive whatever challenges lay ahead.
