Chapter 644: The Stars Once Were, the Stars Now Are, and the Stars Shall Ever Be

When true night falls, the brilliant stars in the sky are not as eye-catching as they are during the day.

Above the gray mist, Klein has not left the Source Castle and will not do so until the starry sky returns to normal.

Today, in response to the wishes of the Tarot Club members, he convened an additional meeting to allow them to gather at the Source Castle and discuss the day's events.

Having survived a disaster, he also wanted to sit by and listen to their conversations, which would help ease his tense nerves.

Otherwise, he feared he might gradually lose his humanity within the Source Castle.

"Good evening, Mr. Fool~"

Audrey suppressed her various thoughts and, as usual, greeted everyone before sitting silently in her seat.

Alger, who usually liked to share information in advance, hesitated and ultimately did not speak.

Fors and Derrick were even less likely to start the conversation, leaving Emlyn, who, after a brief silence, said gravely, "On this special day, Ancestor Lilith issued an urgent oracle, instructing all of us vampires to pray devoutly to Her."

Alger and the others keenly caught the keyword: urgent.

The fact that the Vampire Ancestor, the Earth Mother Goddess, would issue an urgent oracle meant that the situation above the starry sky was far more perilous than what was visible during the day.

"Mr. Fool, do you know what exactly happened?" Emlyn asked, looking at the Fool with a worried and pleading gaze.

"The Kingdom of Feneport has been destroyed," Klein calmly stated this harsh fact.

He had witnessed this scene personally from the Source Castle. Today, the Lord of Mysteries attempted to awaken, activating part of the Source Castle's abilities, allowing him to glimpse many hidden things.

"The Kingdom of Feneport was the foundation of the Earth Mother Goddess's faith, Her place of worship, and now it is destroyed. The anchor of the Earth Mother's faith..." Alger exclaimed, glancing at the increasingly worried Mr. Moon, but did not finish his sentence.

"It shouldn't be that severe. Your vampire faith still exists. Although it cannot compare to the vast number of believers in the Earth Mother Goddess Church of the Kingdom of Feneport, it can still provide part of the faith's anchor, preventing things from reaching the most extreme," Cattleya added, leaving unsaid her thought that the vampires should change their arrogant ways and propagate more new members, as this is the most correct way to honor their ancestor.

"Lady Hermit, praise your kindness and wisdom," Emlyn stood up and bowed to Cattleya in gratitude.

This matter had already caused an uproar within the vampire community. In just half a day, some members began maliciously speculating that Ancestor Lilith had met with misfortune.

Two high-ranking vampires even suddenly died, plunging the entire vampire community into panic and confusion.

After some discussion, Alger gathered the courage to ask, "Honorable Mr. Fool, is this celestial anomaly related to the stars?"

Klein slightly raised his head to glance at the starry sky and said enigmatically, "The stars have returned to the sky."

The stars have returned to the sky?

What symbolic meaning does this hold?

Alger was eager to understand but knew that he was not yet qualified to learn the true secrets.

"What happens after the stars return?" Audrey, who had been silent, couldn't help but ask the question she most desired to know.

"When the stars return to their positions, chaos will rise from the depths, and the Great Origin will awaken."

Klein murmured to himself, unsure if the future would gradually move toward this ancient prophecy.

But many signs already indicated that this prophecy was becoming true.

The Sea of Chaos, controlled by God, appeared deep beneath the Giant King's Court, imprisoned within the Wishing Lamp, and part of the Lamp God, the Child of Chaos, now followed the stars from the real world to the sky.

The Sea of Chaos and the Child of Chaos both symbolize the prophecy that chaos will rise from the depths.

According to this understanding, the Original Creator will awaken in the future.

"The fate of the future will change from this point," was Klein's final answer to Audrey.

Mentioning fate, Cattleya's eyes flickered. She had once entrusted Mr. Fool to trade a drop of blood with a Serpent of Mercury from the Path of Destiny.

Today, as the stars shone brilliantly, she was also guided by fate to see a giant Serpent of Mercury in Backlund, forming a wheel of destiny as it flew toward the sky.

In addition, she vaguely heard the phrase "correct destiny."

"Does Mr. Fool believe the stars will return one day?"

"The stars once were, the stars now are, and the stars shall ever be."

Klein met Audrey's hopeful gaze, giving the most affirmative answer and blessing.

...

In the starry sky, the Hall of Stars had completely stopped moving, quietly floating in the depths of the dark and silent sky, appearing like a speck of cosmic dust.

The High-Dimensional Overlookers, the Unquenchable Whispers, and the Ring of Fate each reached out in their own way to touch the Hall of Stars, trying to understand the secrets contained within the Hall of Stars and the stars themselves.

"Stars, return, awaken. If I hadn't had contact with Him in the Hall of Stars, I would have thought the stars were the embodiment of the Original Creator's consciousness."

The High-Dimensional Overlooker's eyes showed a strange expression as He tried to use His authority to probe the Hall of Stars but gained no significant insights. The hazy starry sky surrounding the Hall of Stars seemed to block all prying and invasion.

More precisely, the Hall of Stars and They were not even in the same world.

Yet, material objects could hinder the Hall of Stars' progress, which puzzled Him.

If it were purely a phantom, it would not be affected by material interference.

"Find a way to destroy it," the Ring of Fate concluded its investigation. Its fate could not be imposed on the Hall of Stars, nor could it glimpse the fate belonging to the stars.

"The Fallen Mother Goddess might have a way," the Unquenchable Whispers agreed with destroying the Hall of Stars and the stars.

"The Fallen Mother Goddess is indeed the best choice."

The High-Dimensional Overseer smiled in agreement, but the next second, He used a nearby meteorite to form a material cage, trapping the Hall of Stars inside, then pulled it into an endless dimensional space and left.

The Ring of Fate and the Unquenchable Whispers reacted quickly, but in this regard, They could not match the High-Dimensional Overlooker's mastery of time and space, and could only watch as He fled.

"Well, look at what I've seen. The great Ring of Fate and the arrogant Unquenchable Whispers were easily played by the High-Dimensional Overlooker. This is really interesting."

The Lamp God's mocking voice came from the nearby starry sky, accompanied by a whistling sound of ridicule.

The Ring of Fate merely glanced at the Lamp God, having no intention of chatting, and a complete ring of fate reversed, causing the Lamp God's solid figure to gradually become illusory, ready to once again split into the Indeterminate Mist and the Wishing Lamp.

This was the Ring of Fate exercising its authority, attempting to change the Lamp God's fate of merging with the Indeterminate Mist.

"Fate, huh, is no longer in your hands," the Lamp God mocked, re-solidifying its body, and the chaotic aura spread, forcibly breaking free from the shackles of fate.

"Do you want to be the object of the High-Dimensional Overlooker's future ridicule?"

The Unquenchable Whispers spoke and then left the starry sky, destination unknown.

The Lamp God chuckled, "Ring of Fate, do you know that the Key of Light has appeared and has already fallen into the hands of a Wheel of Destiny? It represents the correct destiny."

The Ring of Fate said nothing, leaving silently.

"I don't believe you don't care at all. One is fate, the other represents destiny itself. This is inevitably antagonistic."

"And the Fate Weaver, that insidious witch, is best at lurking in the dark, weaving and manipulating fate."

The Lamp God quickly dismissed these thoughts, looking toward the direction the High-Dimensional Overseer had fled, knowing it had no ability to catch up.

...

In the depths of the starry sky, a mysterious area of chaotic time and space, concealed beneath multiple dimensions.

After confirming that He had eluded all pursuing Outer Gods, the High-Dimensional Overseer revealed the Hall of Stars.

"Stars, you have finally fallen into my hands. How should I deal with you?"

The High-Dimensional Overseer gazed at the Hall of Stars, floating silently before Him, recalling the recent friendly greetings from the stars.

In all His long years, He had never been so humiliated, chased across the starry sky by the stars.

Though the damage caused by the stars was negligible, it was highly insulting.

What angered Him more was that He couldn't reach the Hall of Stars through the starry sky to confront the stars directly, losing the initiative entirely.

The High-Dimensional Overseer stared deeply at the seemingly insignificant Hall of Stars floating before Him.

"Perhaps I can't break through the Hall of Stars, but I should be able to bury you completely in the starry sky."

He had already prepared a suitable place for the stars. After the Original Creator's fall, everything He gathered began to disperse, and the universe began to show signs of life.

But some places still contained the greatest malice of the Original Creator.

These were places of death and taboo that even the Outer Gods dared not tread.
