Chapter 36: After The Fight

"I'm sorry!", Milo dropped into a deep bow, startling both Marcos and Renny who stared at him silently.

Marcos lifted a cup of coffee to his lips, taking a sip before he responded, "What for exactly?".

Milo felt his entire body repulse his own thoughts, as if it was somehow a crime for him to even consider apologising.

"I was so blinded by revenge I neglected the things and people that I have surrounding me now", Milo said, causing Renny to lean forward slightly.

"Have you though?", Renny asked, "Because as far as I can tell you've been doing a pretty damn good job at elevating our status".

Milo's lips trembled, "Yes, I was willing to put your goal on the back foot as long as I could grow my own power in order to take revenge on the man who killed me. I assume you already knew full well who I was Renny, so I don't need to hide it from you".

Milo stood straight and his features hardened, "I'm what you would call a reincarnate".
