Doyle Dreyson galloped towards the town hall — on his horse – from which he alighted and rushed into the building.
The town hall was occupied by two groups of men — which were the able-bodied men and the aged men.
The able-bodied men were more in number as they congregated before the aged men — who were seated on a high platform.
A middle aged man — whom was seated among the aged men — stood up on his feet and addressed the able-bodied men.
"We need to set up a blockade — to make sure that the beasts have no choice but to engage us in direct combat"
"But isn't that dangerous?" Someone among the able-bodied men said.
"If we engage the beasts in direct combat, how are we sure they wouldn't overwhelm us?"
"Then what else are you suggesting? — that we allow the beasts to pass through our defenses and destroy our village?!"
"Why don't we bring the fight to them? — in order to prevent them from getting close to our village"
