An awkward silence descended upon the battlefield.

The heroes, battered and bruised but relieved by Olivia's disappearance, watched with a mixture of apprehension and concern as Sebastian stood in the center of the control room. He was no longer the hero they knew, the beacon of hope. He was a demon, his form radiating dark energy, his eyes burning with an unsettling ember.

Alex, his heart heavy with a conflicting mix of emotions, stepped forward. "Sebastian," he called out, his voice hesitant. "Are you… okay?"

Sebastian turned slowly, his movements fluid yet somehow unnatural. He looked at Alex, his obsidian eyes devoid of their usual warmth.
