Chapter 262: Hell Serpents

Taking a deep, steadying breath, Gariel forced himself to focus. Panicking wouldn't help. He needed to be strategic.

He couldn't possibly overpower the creature in a direct confrontation. His only option was to follow it, to observe its movements and understand its intentions.

With a determined glint in his golden eyes, Gariel pushed forward, his wings beating a powerful rhythm that propelled him through the trees.

He kept a safe distance, staying just out of sight of the dragon's peripheral vision. The stench of sulfur burned in his throat, a constant reminder of the monstrous presence looming above.

As he followed, he noticed a chilling detail. The dragon wasn't flying aimlessly. It seemed to be heading in a specific direction, its massive form gliding purposefully through the canopy. Where was it going? What threat did it pose to the forest and the world beyond?
