A collective gasp rippled through the stunned council. Fear etched itself onto their faces, replacing any previous defiance.

"If you don't stop King Darius' charade, I will be forced to take drastic measures. This… is just a glimpse of what awaits if you choose war."

The council members remained frozen, speechless in the face of this overwhelming display of power.

The woman, her composure momentarily shattered, was the first to speak.

"What… what is that?" she stammered, her voice barely a whisper.

Alex, his face a mask of steely resolve, kept his gaze fixed on the council. "A consequence," he replied cryptically.
