Chapter 54: His guilt

It was a peaceful day.

Despite the fact that she had lost contact with Ryuu for three days, L managed to enjoy the time being here. Now, sitting on the sofa with a phone in her grasp, she locked herself in the apartment, until the problem came knocking on the door that evening.

L's brows wrinkled over the sound of doorbell. Who could it be? Definitely not Ryuu. She walked forward to take a look at the doorbell camera. It was a man with unfamiliar face. "A delivery man? But he's in suit" Perplexed, L opened the door while putting up her guard.

If anything, she's using her muscle memory to throw a fist. "Miss Laurestine Pierre?" Confusion wandered in L's gaze. Spot on? Her name causally escaped between his lips as if he had known her for months. "May I know who you are?" She returned a question politely.
