Chapter 32: The Boss Makes His Appearance

A long and thin line of blood ran down his cheek; he had received a light flesh wound. Without even taking note of the blood flowing down his cheek, he shouted with full force. "Take cover!" 

"They have Archers!" His voice reached the ears of Marcus and the other recruits. Marcus quickly responded and gave the order, "Hide behind the walls!" 

He had just finished giving the command when a series of sounds approached them; the sound of the air being pierced echoed in their ears. 

Aggh!

One of the recruits screamed in pain; an arrow had pierced his shoulder from behind as he scurried to safety. This time, a rain of arrows had come from the fields and wounded two of the recruits stationed at the entrance.

Were it not for Gresvin being attacked first and shouting in warning, they would have lost a few men. The recruits had taken shelter fast enough to evade most of the arrows that rained down on them.
