20% SON OF DUNE / Chapter 7: scroll

Chapter 7: scroll

Other Fremen watched the Actions of the Exiled in the far distance. Jamis, who stood next to Krelln, approached him and looked into the distance. " They think we don't see them," Jamis said.

" No, they know we see them," Krelln said, " but they also know we won't hurt them; despite our differences, we are family, and Fremen together are strong. And that is why the Harkonnens wish to separate us."

"Follow the plan as usual. I want the Harkonnens to fear what is coming." And that is what they did. They rode the Great Desert on their Hoverbikes, and when night fell on Arrakis, multiple Crawlers were stolen, and Guards were killed.

Barron Vladimire watched from his room into the far distance of Arrakeen, a city filled with Fremen oppressed by the Harkonnens. In their home, as of right now, you could see a man in red Stillsuits. " What hold me back from going outside and yelling that you are here?" said a Fremen Local.

" You could, but then again, they will rape your wife and beat your children by making one of the Harkonnen guards work for you. And believe me, the moment you yell out is the moment I will disappear.

The Local Fremen Gulped. His son was sick, and his wife looked as if she was starving; her cheeks were sunken back in the mouth. " If you allow me to take your wife and son with me, I can guarantee their safety and ensure they eat daily," said the exiled.

" You fail to mention that you will add him to your armies; yes, we have heard. The exiled are the ones who do not believe in the Lisan Al Gaib."

Said the man as he came to his child, who slept on the small bed made of sand and garments. There was no comfort where you slept. Hell, you could get sand burns when you had sex on these beds.

"They would have food and water on a daily basis," said the exiled.

"Now you joke, there is no water on Arrakis. Whatever water there is goes back to the ground the moment it touches the air of our world. It waits for the Lisan Al Gaib."

" Your boy who lays there on his bed will die before the time of the Lisan Al Gaib; he will die from starvation and thirst. You are a father; look to him and your wife; your responsibility is not the Prophecy but them. Do you understand faith will not save them, but we could. The Bloodworm could.

The Local Fremen looked to the Exiled. "Please, I beg of you, take them; I do not wish for my son to suffer as I do."

"Before I go," said the exiled, " we need you to deliver a letter to a woman; she wears a black veil on her head, and her hair is that of gold, The Bene Gessrite, but I hope you understand what this means, yes.

The Local Fremen knew what this meant. To walk into the house of Harkonnen meant death, and to deliver this message meant his family got safe passage to a new home, a new seitch.

"I will do it. Just deliver on your promise." the local Fremen said. " We are doing our part now; we would like to ask you to do this because you have status in Arrakeen. And the only one with the chance of delivering the message.

The exiled took a small scroll from his back and passed it in the man's hands. As soon as he did so, he picked up the son and mother and left through the streets of Arrakeen covered in a cloak.

Many saw the man and thought he was burying his dead, so they allowed passage. The man walked further into the city; behind him, guards followed, but as he made a right turn, he was gone; he vanished.

The Local Fremen had also begun to walk out of his house and headed to a section of house carrion on Arrakis. They were not allowed to have outposts, but these places acted as embassies to allow passage. The man walked forward and came to work like any other day.

He checked the list in his office for a Bene Gesserite fitting the description and found Lady Margot Fenring.

The Fremen man brought a small vile as he carried the scroll. He walked through an all-black door at the end of the hall. As he walked in, he garnered the attention of many women surrounding the woman with golden hair. Their eyes were black like the deep space.

As the Fremen man walked in, the Guards bearing the Harkonnen H began to walk towards him and shout, but the Fremen looked at the golden-haired woman with his blue Crystalline eyes, telling her Many things and nothing.

"You come with a message Fremen?" Lady Margot asked. " My Lady, I have a message for you to deliver to the Reverend Mother."

If he did not have the attention of the Bene Gessirite, he now had garnered it; the woman behind Lady Margot began to laugh and murmur, observing this interaction and reporting back to 'The Barron', the Fat Scum was Probably watching from their eyes. for who is to say he did not have Cameras everywhere on Arrakis.

Lady Margot walked forward confidently, and the man handed her the small scroll; the Guards hoped she would open it, but she placed it in her person. Opening messages intended for others of the same order was not their way. That Was not the Bene Gesserite way; even the Barron could not touch her. Their hand-to-hand combat was unparalleled and so was their influence.

"Before you go," the Fremen said. " The ones who handed me this message wanted me to say: How the little piggies would groan when they hear how the old boar suffered." at once, he crushed the vile in his hands. A poison never seen before by the Bene Gesserite entered his bloodstream, and the man died in under two seconds.

Lady Margot did not look surprised, for she knew this man was never walking out of the room alive. As he walked through the door, she saw he had a scent of death on him. On the scroll she now held was a symbol that "the Barron" hated with all his might. Krelln the moon of Arrakis.
