By taking the potion corresponding to a specific pathway, a person can elevate their life to a higher level and eventually attain godhood.

"If I could, I'd wish I could give myself a golden finger," Sogetsu muttered, glancing at his collection of special items. Despite having these extraordinary tools, he felt a sense of helplessness.
In the world of "The Lord of Mysteries," the higher your Sequence level, the greater the risk of losing control. Even gods need a mortal anchor to keep from losing their humanity.
Sogetsu was terrified of death, so among the 22 pathways to godhood, he chose the Visionary path, known for its focus on mental and spiritual power. It's one of the least likely to lead to losing control.
His Uchiha lineage with its Kekkei Genkai Sharingan ability complemented the Visionary's spiritual power perfectly. This synergy greatly enhanced his skills in illusion, hypnosis, and suggestion.
In fact, he could, for a short while, simulate the effects of the Infinite Tsukuyomi, the costly psychological therapy experienced by Uchiha Fugaku, costing 50,000 ryō per session—making all wishes come true!
In Konoha Village, his high-cost therapy was not a scam but is quite popular. After all, in the harsh ninja world, who wouldn't want to live out their dreams, even if only for a short while?
"I've finally gathered enough materials for my promotion to Hypnotist," Sogetsu said, holding a translucent pituitary gland in his hand. He couldn't help but sigh. "I've spent an entire year playing the role of a psychiatrist just to get this."
Now that he had the key ingredient, he wasn't planning to wait any longer.
Activating his Sharingan, he scanned the surroundings to ensure he wasn't being watched. He set up a few ninjutsu traps and securely locked the doors and windows.
Sogetsu had already digested the Psychiatrist potion through his acting over the past six months. If he hadn't lacked the main ingredient, he would have achieved Sequence 6 much sooner.
The promotion to Sequence 6 required two main materials: the pituitary gland of a Mind Dragon and the fruit of a Illusory Chime Tree's Fruit. Now, he was one step closer to his goal.
Uchiha Sogetsu carefully retrieved the Illusory Chime Tree's Fruit fruit from a sealing scroll and tossed it into a dark cauldron. He followed it with the pituitary gland of a adolescent mind dragon, and then systematically added the rest of the ingredients.
In a short while, the Sequence 6 hypnotist potion was successfully concocted.
The viscous, transparent liquid glimmered like a mirror, reflecting everything around it. As it swirled and rose, tiny vortices danced beneath the surface.
Thump! Thump! Thump!
The beating of a heart echoed in the room.
Uchiha Sogetsu gazed at the thick, translucent potion. Though he was ready for this, he always felt a twinge of anxiety before drinking it.
He recalled how much he had hated slimy liquids in his previous life—he couldn't even swallow lotus root starch without gagging. Now, he was being forced to drink something like this. He could only blame the Transmigration Cliche for all of this.
"Calm down," he told himself, using a psychiatrist's techniques to settle his nerves. With renewed composure, Uchiha Sogetsu hesitated no longer. He picked up the dark crucible and drank it down in one go.
Gulp. Gulp. Gulp.
The potion felt cold and slippery as it slid down his throat. The next moment, his consciousness shook as if it were about to shatter.
Buzz!
Uchiha Sogetsu's eyes grew blank as if his soul had detached from his body. He experienced a sense of infinite weightlessness, rising and falling without control.
It felt like his mind was being absorbed and assimilated by an unseen force—a boundless "sky" that connected all living things.
No, not "sky." It was an endless sea of collective subconsciousness, with every droplet representing the essence of a living being. Countless entities joined to form this vast ocean.
Sogetsu, experiencing this collective subconscious for the first time, felt a strange pull to become one with it. However, as a trained psychiatrist, he maintained his calm, resisting the urge to merge with the sea of collective minds.
With deliberate focus, he retracted his consciousness, reclaiming his individuality. The swirling energies slowly receded, drawn back under his control.
Who knows how much time had passed?
A burst of brilliant light erupted from Uchiha Sogetsu's once-dull eyes.
His consciousness had finally returned to his body, and he took a deep breath, exhaling with relief. "I did it. I'm now a Sequence 6: Hypnotist."
Advancing to Sequence 6 signaled his official entry into the middle ranks, no longer just someone with no real power. Now, he possessed the ability to hold his own in combat.
Uchiha Sogetsu lowered his head to examine himself. His skin was covered in a layer of fine, strong, golden scales.
If anyone else had been there, they would have seen the three blood-red tomoe in his Sharingan swirling with a strange, abyssal vortex. His entire body was encased in golden scales, emanating an aura of primal ferocity.
He clenched his fist and threw a simple jab into the air.
Boom!
The sound of an explosion filled the room.
His physical strength had increased dramatically thanks to the Beyonder potion. His power and agility now far surpassed those of ordinary ninjas.
Additionally, the golden scales provided excellent defense. Even a strike from a kunai would only create a spark and a harsh metal-on-metal noise.
Along with his physical improvements, Uchiha Sogetsu had gained three new abilities after his promotion to Hypnotist.
The first was the ability to subtly influence or modify subconscious suggestions outside of combat.
The second allowed him to forcibly hypnotize an enemy during battle.
The third provided a type of psychological invisibility, rendering him imperceptible to others' awareness.
"I may not have direct offensive abilities," Uchiha Sogetsu mused, a playful smile forming on his lips, "but with my Sharingan, I can extend the duration and intensity of hypnosis, even during combat."
The compatibility between the Visionary sequence and the Sharingan was impressive.
As his excitement subsided, Uchiha Sogetsu checked the system rewards.

Uchiha Sogetsu turned the 'Lie' mask into a ring and slipped it onto his middle finger, a grin spreading across his face. "This will make it so much easier to operate in the ANBU from now on."
