Chapter 29: Hanzo's Might

Hanzo pursued with a murderous look, his eyes bloodshot and filled with raging madness. A large force of Rain Ninjas followed behind him, their hearts surging with killing intent.

This was his son, his beloved, and the future successor of the Rain Village. Which bastard dared to target Iga!

On the other side, Fuma, though in a state of poisoning and uncertain about the toxicity of the salamander, showed no signs of retreating.

First, to cover the retreat for the Anbu members; this wasn't some Will of Fire thing, but helping a few dutiful juniors when capable, was the right thing to do.

Second, Fuma was also interested in Hanzo. After all, he was the demigod of the ninja world who had bestowed the title of "Legendary Three Ninjas."

Gaining combat experience against him now would be beneficial when the two villages eventually went to war.

But the main reason was that a samurai-type ninja like Hanzo was the type Fuma feared the least.

With his steel-like muscles and bones, plus the 'Blood Thunder Armour', no sword technique could harm him.

If an unexpected event occurred and Hanzo used some unseen secret technique, Fuma could just turn and run, and Hanzo wouldn't be able to catch him.

As he approached within a hundred steps of Fuma, the Rain Ninjas spread out methodically. Some pursued the Konoha Anbu, while others distantly sealed off the scene, standing in very loose formations.

Fuma watched Hanzo with great interest. He had long wanted to witness the power of this ninja, who would later be known as the "Demigod of the Ninja World."

Seeing his son's murderer still looking so calm and composed, Hanzo's eyes nearly popped out of their sockets with rage.

His fingers flew as he performed hand seals, and the surrounding moisture grew thicker.

"Water Release: Rain Cloud Concealing Technique!"

Dense moisture accumulated into clouds under the guidance of chakra, compressing and gathering in the air to form massive rain clouds.

The Rain Ninjas scattered far away continuously used Fire Release to scorch the ground, causing the moisture to rise rapidly and enlarge the rain clouds, making them swell even more.

Within a kilometer radius, darkness quickly enveloped the area. The wind, laden with moisture, blew uneasily, filling the air with a dark atmosphere.

The rain clouds hung low, only about a hundred meters above the ground, but covered a vast area. The scene of dark clouds almost touching the ground was apocalyptic.

Fuma watched Hanzo's technique in silence, inwardly marveling. As expected of a demigod.

This was a magnificent jutsu. Though it wasn't accomplished by one person alone, it still changed the weather. A ninja with the ability to alter the weather could be considered a strategic asset.

Hanzo slammed his hands heavily onto the ground. With a puff of smoke, a giant salamander, about twenty meters tall, appeared.

This was his summoning beast, the King of Salamanders—Ibushi.

Hanzo leaped onto its head, looking down at Fuma and said:

"Damned Konoha ninja, killing Rain Ninjas is unforgivable. I will kill you and use your skull as a bowl!"

The salamander roared, spraying thick purple poison mist into the rain clouds, which quickly took on a purplish hue, making them look even more eerie.

Fuma watched in amazement. This technique, which combined weather-changing ninjutsu with biological and poison warfare, perfectly matched the environment of the Land of Rain. Its design could indeed be called ingenious!

Hanzo maximized his use of the advantages of time and place, amplifying his combat superiority to the fullest.

In the Land of Rain, he was like Magellan in Impel Down, almost invincible.

With a roar, Hanzo's chakra flared up, and the Rain Ninjas outside the rain clouds simultaneously performed hand seals, casting their jutsu together.

"Water Release: Grand Poison Hell Technique!"

The rain clouds within a kilometer radius poured down deep purple poison water like a flood. In this domain, no living thing could escape. This was a killing move that harnessed the power of nature!

Fuma felt the intensity of the poisonous rain, a trace of admiration crossing his mind.

With the [Savage Growth] enhancement and his superhuman physique, Fuma had much better resistances than ordinary people.

Moreover, with his mastery over blood energy, he could keep the poison confined to his body's surface, significantly weakening its effect.

But even with such conditions, he still felt bouts of weakness. Any ordinary ninja would have collapsed by now.

This poison gas combined with Water Release tactics made Hanzo a merciless mowing machine on the battlefield.

Hanzo looked at the admiring expression on Fuma's face, puzzled. It was the first time he had seen someone just standing there, arms crossed, getting drenched in his poisonous rain.

In fact, Fuma directly facing the poisonous rain wasn't to annoy Hanzo.

With the [Savage Growth] trait, as long as he could withstand some of the poison, he would gradually develop resistance to it.

"Die for your arrogance!"

With a furious shout, Hanzo swung his chain, instantly moving to attack.

Hanzo's body-flicker technique was extremely advanced. Having defeated all the samurai of the Land of Iron, his close-combat skills were top-notch in the ninja world.

The large sickle, combined with the reach of the chain, attacked at a strange angle. This weapon combined the range of a sickle and the versatility of a flail.

Fuma blocked with a bent arm, the sound of metal clashing ringing out. His eyes narrowed as he unleashed his bloodlust to form 'Blood Armour'.

A violent scent of blood filled the battlefield, and the eerie red light reappeared on Fuma, forming a blood-red armor.

The distant Rain Ninjas had their chakra violently drained by the blood energy, with only a few Jonin able to resist its invasion.

In the sky, dark purple poison clouds covered thousands of meters, and on the ground, violent blood energy filled the area. The battlefield between Fuma and Hanzo had become a veritable hell on earth.

Hanzo frowned, feeling something was wrong.

"This bastard, I've read reports about him from the Anbu. He's Konoha's 'Blood Wolf'. I didn't expect him to have grown this much. Damn Konoha, always having these weird geniuses."

"His body's hardness is also unusual and my sickle can't cut through him. This is troublesome."

"But as long as he's poisoned by the salamander, his death is only a matter of time."

Hanzo continued swinging his sickle, while Fuma raised his blood energy-formed sword, and the two clashed fiercely.

Strike, stab, point, crash, sweep, slash, block.

Their clashing blades sparked continuously, and their expressions grew more intense.

Hanzo and Fuma's techniques reflected various styles from different schools—one was the world's top samurai, the other a master of taijutsu who had seen the entire ninja world.

At their level, techniques no longer mattered. It was a contest of speed, strength, reaction, and determination.

The battle grew more intense. Hanzo used his chain to hook Fuma's arm, swinging his large sickle at his artery!

Fuma didn't care about the sickle's attack. With the blood armor protecting him, such attacks couldn't break his defense.

His arm muscles bulged as he swung the blood sword, releasing a terrifying slash wave, abandoning defense to strike at Hanzo!
