Chapter 23: The Inheritance

"She's my wife–" Zachary said as Jonson stopped in his tracks and turned to look at him inquisitively.

"Umm there is something I haven't told you yet. She had saved me once before when I returned. It has something to do with Henry and his conspiracies" 

"Saved you? If she saved you, why didn't you give her some money? Did you have to marry her as a favor?" Johnson was puzzled hearing his nephew's words. 

"Uncle,you don't understand what is going on. It's a lot to digest but I want you to treat her well. Very soon, I will give you all the details,trust me!" 

Zachary didn't have the strength to argue. So,he quickly shut down the argument. 

Johnson on the other hand looked calm but he was not convinced.

Johnson furrowed his brow and followed Zachary to the garden.
