Chapter 1: Reincarnation

"Hello, little one." Said a saintly looking old man to a floating ball of light.

A deep sigh of acceptance escaped from the ball of light.

"So I finally died, huh?" The ball asked, looking to the old man for confirmation.

"Yes." The man said softly.

"So what now? Judgement? Hell?" The ball asked.

The man stared at the ball with kind eyes and said, "No."

"A second chance at life. Reincarnation."

Surprised, the ball questioned. "What? Why? Why me?"

The ball of light did not understand why it was getting a second chance.

Rather, it didn't want it.

"I understand your feels. However, a friend of mine suggested that perhaps you were born into the wrong world."So I called to here to rectify that. And send you to his world."

"That's good, no?" The old man asked.

"No, I don't know if I can go through all that again. I would much rather go to heaven or wherever. Get this whole thing over with." The ball of light responded.

"Sorry, but the friend I told you about has already paid a large sum for you. And I've already spent quite a bit of it." The old man said apologeticly, scratching the back of his head.

Quickly gesturing to the floating ball, he adds, "But don't worry, I'm not going to send to an unknown world without giving you a little help." He continued."I'm familiar with their universe, so I know exactly what to give you. Trust me, kid, you're going to love your new home."

Without giving the ball of light room to speak, he added. "So, I'm thinking of giving you a chance to pick 3 completely random cards made from your life."

We he said this 100's of blank cards appeared before the floating ball.

"Each card contains fictional characters, you know. Now because my friend's universe isn'treally a superpowered one. Some of these characters are severely nerfed. Like I'm talking drawing, Superman would probably give you great eyesight, jumping capabilities, at best the physique of a young Robin, etc.

Seeing as you got no hands or eyes right now. You can pick your three cards with just your intent."

Following the old man's instructions, the ball used their intent to pick 3 cards.

When the cards were chosen, all the other cards disappeared.

Looking at the cards, the old man spoke

"It looks like you perks are:

An extremely downgraded heart-shaped herb for Marvel (MCU).

An extremely restricted version of Grimmjow's abilities, skills, and talents. His personality may influence you a bit, but not too much.

And innate sun affinity to match the fiery personality of yours."

"That's the best I can do with what I'm allowed. Well, time is money, and you don't currently have any."

"See ya." The old man said, snapping his fingers, sending the ball off light vanishing into the distance.

"Waitttt-

The ball of like tried to scream as it was sent of.

Staring at the direction the ball of light disappeared in, the old man smiled. "Have fun in your new whole Luke."

"Or should use the cute nickname your former teams used to call you. What was it? I always forget." The old asked rhetorically.

"Ah, yes."

"Smaug the Greedy."

"HAHAHAHA."

---FAR AWAY IN ANOTHER WORLD---

"KYAAAAA." screamed a group of girls.

"He just looked at me." Called one of the girls.

"No, he didn't look at you. He was looking at me." Another contested.

"What do you mean he looked at you? You two don't even have a face a mother could love. Why would he bother looking at any of you? He was clearly looking at me."

"Oh, shut up Sally, you talk like your face isn't buried under 3ft of makeup. The last person to see your face was your mum's midwife, and she died of shock."

In the distance on a pitch, the cause of this commotion was completely unaware of the lifelong friendship his casual glance at the crowd was about to end, carried on.

He and his teammates had just won the semi-finals. Qualifying them to the next round.

He looked to see the losing team crying and hugging each other. Their coach also crying, offering word's of encouragement to the team. About how they played well, and that's all that mattered.

Suddenly, a teammate tackled him from behind, screaming. "We did it, Toshi. We did it. We made it to the next round." He was clearly excited and wanted to share the moment with his friend.

Other teammates joined the two." Yeah, we did it. We really couldn't have done it without you, Toshiro."

"Yeah, this is all thanks to you, Toshiro."

"You're easily the MVP."

They all cheered for and praised Toshiro.

The person in question just received their cheers with a blank and emotionless expression.

However, his action did not alarm anyone. His teammates seemed used to it.

Back in the cheering crowds, one person noticed and posed a question to his friend nearby.

"Hey, what's with that Toshiro guy, Number 10. What's his problem? Thought out this entire match I've watched he always has that blank look on his face even when he scored. And he has that same expression now even though his team just won a really tough match." He paused. "Seriously, what's this Toshiro's deal-

Before he could complete his sentence, his friend close by quickly, covered his mouth, and pulled him into a headlock and back in their seats as though to hide themselves.

"Dude, what are you doing?? Are you trying to get us killed? Don't you know who that guy is?" The friend whispered as quietly yet harshly as possible. "That's Toshiro Hitsugaya, the Blank Prince. The ace of the Inazuma team."

"Because of his white hair, blue eyes and dashing good-looks, has one of the most dedicated fan groups ever. And they are crazy." He scouted the surrounding warily before continuing."Listen, one coach made the mistake of seating him out the first 20 minutes of a match, a single match once. And literally that night, he went home to a mountain of death threats. He was bombarded with death threats daily. It got so bad that he and his family had to move to the Arctic. And I hear even now he's still getting some threats. So please keep your colourful opinions to yourself before you get us matching tombstones." He plead.

He continued quietly. "Now, look about his neutral expression. I really don't know. Some say his facial muscles are just paralyzed so he can feel emotions but not express them.

Others say the part of his brain that is responsible for emotions is damaged, so he doesn't feel any emotion.

His fans say it because he's a god, and he's above feeling human emotion like the rest of us.

Me, however, I and a few others believe that he somehow traded his emotions with the devil for insanely good talent. That's why he's so freaking good."

"Okay, listen, so we believe that Toshiro did the six blood sacrifice ritual of the demon...."

While that crazy fan was explaining to his poor friend in extreme detail how he believed Toshiro Hitsugaya got his talent.

The person in question was leaving the stadium with his team, oblivious of the kind of rumours that were floating outside about him.
