Chapter 24: A Little Boy and a Proposal

As the quartet approached one of the points where they could fulfill the mission objective, Ciona and Joane, walking side by side, conversed in hushed voices to avoid drawing attention from the duo ahead. Ciona continued narrating events from an old memory:

"Kizaer entered that shop, holding a small bag with some bronze coins and 3 silver coins." Ciona seemed affected by that distant memory, and a hint of joy returned to her eyes. "You know, a basic rule of bargaining is never to let the other party know how much money you have on hand. But there was Kizaer, opening his coin purse and pouring its entire contents onto the shopkeeper's counter."
