"What else happened?" Ding Lan asked.

Weilan sighed, "It's only today that I've realized some things are not at all what they seemed before."

"Why such a feeling?"

"My previous impressions of some people were all illusions. You don't really know what someone is like until you have deeply interacted with them and understood them."

"Are you talking about Lu Heyan or Lu Hechen?"

"Both of them," Weilan said. "Alright, I'm going to embroider a butterfly. Once it's done, we'll go out to drink tonight."

"Okay."

They stayed at the Embroidery Workshop until five o'clock before they left.

"I'll stay with you tonight," Weilan said. "Let's buy some stuff and have a hot pot at your place. Make it spicy."

"Are you treating?" Ding Lan asked slyly.

"If it's treating, then it's treating." Weilan agreed readily and cheerfully.

The two of them went back together.
