Chapter 84: Uncovering Hidden Memories

Lyra's POV:

"She doesn't need to" This time it was Damien who spoke. I didn't know when he got here.

"We are guests here. If we feel tired then we can rest. I have already asked the Alpha. Come now Lyra. Let me show you to your room".

Damien held me by the hand and led me to my room. I could tell that he was stressed and worked up about something. I wondered what had happened. One moment he was feeling happy and the next he was like this.

He led me to my room and I invited him even though he insisted not to. He entered and sat down on the chair that was present in the room.

"You didn't stay for the dance?" I said as I sat down on the bed.

"No, I did not. I came to bring you back to your room" he said.

"Is that all? What was the real reason you left the banquet Damien. We are friends, you can talk to me".
