Chapter 77: Getting some Gadgets at the Grunt Armory (17) | Makeshift Weapon Display Museum

A large and clean workshop table stood in front of us. It had previously been used by my senior grunts—the shooting range and workshop grunts—but they had cleared it out and even merged nearby tables together into a giant workspace.

All for the purpose of seeing THE Professor Kala's personal weapon arsenals... the professor's precious "babies."

I could only imagine how great these weapons were, based on what my senior grunt No. 147 had told me before. She had explained that the professor was a brilliant weapon designer but had a tendency to hyper-focus on things she was interested in... thus she had almost blown up the whole Grunt Armory at some point in the past.

'And she said she likes me because I'm interesting to her...' I recalled what she said, and it stirred a complex mix of emotions within me as I was not sure if I should be glad or worried over such interest in me...
