Chapter 52: Interruption and Weeping

[3rd POV]

[Meanwhile, inside the makeshift Duel Arena inside the cafeteria]

A solid punch landed on the head of the thorny-vines grunt, pushing her back and causing her to stagger.

"Heh... had enough... yet...?" her attacker said, gasping for air while smirking behind her mask of lightning. She was having a hard time standing herself, but she kept her smug attitude toward her opponent.

Her opponent, on the other hand, recovered from her staggered state but was also finding it hard to stand. She didn't say anything to the grunt who was goading her but instead shot back a fierce glare.

These exchanges of blows... and hatred had been going on for quite a while, with a crowd of grunts surrounding them, cheering for them to continue killing each other. Both of them didn't realize this crowd had gathered to witness their quarrel as entertainment... or perhaps they did realize but didn't care either way.
