Chapter 26: Show Me Your Throat

Judging by the way Tyler and Father look at me, I can tell that they are surprised at the intensity of my words. I straighten my jacket and sit back down. "Coming at my omega would be disrespectful. If he has a problem with me then he needs to face me like the man he claims to be."

"Yes son"

I watch Tyler's slender fingers grip the chair. He looks more worried than he was before, but that's because he's only beginning to understand how things work around here. 

"What will Angelo gain by hurting me?" Tyler asks, looking terrified. 

Father regards Tyler thoughtfully as though he is contemplating something. "If Angelo manages to get to you and hurts you or kills you, it will make Sasha look weak. That alone could cut Sasha at the knees. Then, some of the men could take his side. That's all it takes for them to defect. Angelo is scheming and cannot be trusted."
