Chapter 99: Back Home

Menjin and a small group of about three of his Green Patrol officers had come to the Manrove Estate.

However, they weren't the only factions that were present at the place.

In their company was the chieftain's own squad that was sent to Herb village with regard to the letter that Menjin had sent them.

"It is clearly a murder scene," Menjin expressed strongly. "However, I confess that it is quite unfortunate that we are not able to pin down those responsible yet."

Menjin was addressing the leader of the chieftain's group, Rhis.

Rhis flicked her blonde hair to the side and for some reason, she chucked at what Menjin was saying.

"We already know that much," she said. "What about the group you had under constant watch?"

Menjin felt some discomfort with Rhis' question. He knew where the conversation was headed but he couldn't ignore the question asked.

He bore the shame and answered her question.
