Artemis was certainly cornered by Wang and his small group of four.

The situation that she found herself in did not permit her to fight as freely as she would have wished, considering that these men were her allies.

If they had out rightly betrayed her, then it would have been a different matter.

But in their case, they were taken over by a force that she had yet to figure out, and because of that, she couldn't kill them for two reasons.

One, they weren't their usual selves.

Two, she was interested in confirming who was behind their possession.

Somehow, she could make a guess but she still needed confirmation for that.

Wang raised and pointed his blade at her, instructing the others to attack her immediately.

"Kill her!" he commanded at the top of his voice.

The four guards brandished their blades and clinked them at each other before moving towards Artemis.
